Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling tweeted that over 1600 bans were dished out today for those cheating the system in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Any attempt to cheat hack or glitch in MW3 will not... More...
Thats what happens in fps games with stats and unlocks, sure older cod/moh had some aimboters and wall hackers but who cared? we all had the same equipment so it was just leave the server/ban the players ip
I cared, who cares about stats/unlocks? MW2 was **** because it was overrun by the wallhackers and aimbotters and there was nothing you could do but leave. Only to to be thrown back into the same game or another with a different cheater because of matchmaking. Does MW3 have the same system?
Hate cheaters,,why cheat? thats what gets me,Why cheat to get good aim/scores and be the best when you know you have got them scores by cheating...just doesnt make sense.. Dont you wana be the best by actually using your skill in gaming and using whats in the game to beat your opponents...
MW3 is monitored more, like MW2 should have been. But cheaters and hackers is the reason why private servers like alteriwnet are growing bigger and bigger, they actually take care of hackers and cheaters and if they don't the server operator does.
So True...They ban someones IP address...Its Over...They are Screwed...Go Cry to mama...Go play at your friends house...But you can't connect from your house...You are Banned...
Is it possible that someone got banned wrongfully. I mean there are some good players there whom sometimes people call hackers or cheater. If one of them got banned is there a way for them to appeal and give explanation that it was a mistake. How does it work? I am not a very good player but sometimes people call me a hacker too. I am sure it happened to most of us at some point.
i did not read all the stuff above but to the last comment i doubt they are banning cause of people saying someone is cheating. its prolly a file chek or server screening players. would be very sad to be banned wrongfully.
that only works for static IP's. if you have a dynamic IP, that ban will only last as long as it take you to reset your cable modem.
Also some ISP's issue their IP's dynamically, so you could also just wait 8 days (default lease) or whatever they have their servers set for the renew interval.
thats the ip address through your isp. like i said, if you have a static ip, that will remain the same. a dynamic ip will not. everytime you would reset that modem, the ip would change. not everyone is on a dynamic ip though. also, as Hemectu stated, asking your isp to change your ip will work too. but most of the time they wont change your ip just for sh!ts and giggles.
Dear ISP Could you please change my ip address. ISP Rep- "And why do you need your ip address changed". ISP Customer- "So I wont be Banned for Cheating in MW3". ISP Rep- "Hell No...I play MW3 Too...You Cheating S#B".
well in that case if my ip is 192.166.80.160 have you noticed the "dynamic" part is only the last 2 numbers? well just ban this 192.166.* and doesnt matter what you do you are banned with all the variations you can do reseting your modem ^^
If I'm correct, that's banning IP ranges which leads to not just you being banned, but others in the area as well.
thats the price to pay for cheating, anyway i havent see that happen when i ban cheaters that way, but was expecting it
