Hey guys, my specs are in my other post.

    I've set ipresentinterval=1 to 0
I've removed anti aliasing and set shadows to low
I'm running medium/high apart from the shadows
    I'm using the latest drivers

I read on another thread, something about renaming skyrim to fallout.exe on Xfire?

What CPU do you have and speed is it at?

With my system I have the game at full Ultra setting and all sliders at full, with 4xAA and 16xAF I am averaging 45FPs outdoors, with the lowest I've seen 37FPS outdoors. I am quite surprised how well it plays.

    Love the game BTW.

5870 and you have to set shadows to low?

5850 here 16x AF, FXAA Turned on, everything maxed out except shadows to high. runs at 45+ fps ALWAYS with no stutter.

    What's your CPU? RAM?

I've spent hours trying to make SKYRIM run better! I've read all the posts on all the sites and tried them all. Barring my hardware configuration which I paid good money for, I think at this time you CANNOT MAKE THE GAME RUN BETTER! It needs a pretty hefty patch which I doubt will ever come and it needs a much better driver than even the one released yesterday! Infact If I had more money I'd buy an Nvidia card RIGHT NOW and be done with ATI - way too much hassle!!! Can't do anything about money grabbing developers who don't do beta testing though!!!

Trust me, it would not take long before we would see a similar post on the nVidia forums about you complaining over your new and shiny GeForce. I don't really believe either of the manufacturers is perfect and if you summarise a year of game releases I would vouch for that both are pretty much equally good/bad.

I myself would have swiched over to the green side long ago if what you say were true but I once had a GTX 285 and boy did I have some serious issues with that freakin' card. I bought it upon release too for a massive amount of cash and remember struggling with AoC performerance amongst others. I think I still have it somewhere but it's KIA as far as I know.

i have everything maxed...but @ 1920x1200 i turn the AA off...its pretty much pointless during gameplay....and I get 60fps pretty much constant...even with the new 11.11 driver...which kinda amazed me...3 drivers in a row that arent FUBAR'ing 1/2 my system up...perhaps someone at AMD read my letter that I posted some time ago...that has since been removed :) re: many class action suits are needed in the drivers/software industry, yes NEEDED.

Skyrim.ini, I assume the above is a similar CPU bottleneck I get (As tweaking the ini file really doesn't alter framerate much at all unless I go all out, heh.) but with worse performance.

DonĀ“t mess with the default skyrim.ini; always only mod the skyrimprefs.ini

    Please continue here

there's not really any need for three threads which are more or less identical, and we might as well keep the forum tidy :)
