Could I ask people to start posting their framerates on High settings please.

Playinh right now.. Performance seems mehh.. everything ultra plus some tweaks, 4xaa 16af in game and 4x multisample aa NV control panel..
FPS 30 - 50 outside, 50 - 70 inside (dungeons ect..)

Shadows and some textures are terrible but good game

BTW if you wanna disable to vsync add iPresentInterval=0 command to skyrim ini. ity helps to performance.

I have the Steam version and I don't see that. All I have are SkyrimPrefs.ini and Skyrim_default.ini.

Which one do I add that line to?

Also I have a 120hz monitor and I have noticed this game is running @60hz mode. How can I change this?

Runs and plays sweet.

x2aa enough for me.

 

ATI muddy texture fix: If you installed CAP 4 Profiles, then Mipmap detail level in CCC was set to high performance (=****) by default. Change it back to Quality.

 

Ultra settings here, but lowered AA to 4x instead of 8. 60fps constant in the first open area. the game looks oh so average, but I couldn't care less.

 

Lol unlocked it through euro VPN but I can't change graphics as I can't launch the launcher. Can only change ini's arg

Dude, I'm getting solid 60fps with ultra settings (4xAA though)

 

Getting constant 60 fps at 1920x1200 all ultra/max sliders/ all shadows turned on in ini file (land/trees) with 4xaa.

Done a video with same settings but 8xaa and saw vram usage hit 1.2GB, this is before any mods so it's going to be using a lot of vram once the texture mods are released. FPS a little lower in vid due to recording.

Anyone getting sound problems? Mine is staticy? sounding the whole game and sometimes when people are talking they'll just stop and sound like a computer its pissing me off!!

Skyrim is a DX9 game

 

yes it is directx9 at launch, directx 11 is said to be added later through updates.

Lol can we cap the FPS? The engine goes crazy when it goes above 120 fps.
