AMD Cat 11.10 Preview 3

Installed fine no errors.

I never uninstall before installing new drivers because I have never had any issues. :S

 

AMD VISION Engine Control Center color

I install 11.10 preview 3 and the color is fine until I reboot after installing AMD Catalyst 11.9 cap2.

I go to My Digital Flat-Panels options and the color options is gone 8(..I do a repair and it never comes back.

All my installs are fully cleaned before I install the up dated drivers.

Is there a work around to fix that please?

 

Huge slowdown and CTD in RAGE authority level. putted atioglxx.dll from preview 2 into rage and the game was working fine. P.S. lame ending

 

...I'll just lurk this thread before installing.

 

I will just wait for the offical ver as usual. can't trust beta driver @ all!

about sure it wasn't there before. on the other hand, can someone confirm a loss of FPS in crysis 2 or any other game for that matter ?

 

Well I've tried this driver. Still no crossfire support directly in the build.

I also get stuttering odd slow downs...and vsync doesn't stay enabled.

Shame really, as I've put in 4 hours and the game looks like it could be good. But it certainly isnt the quality it should be on my rig.

Use to love ID software...bought most of their games and expansion packs when I was a kid.... Kinda left bad taste in my mouth now. I'll boot it up at Christmas and enjoy it then...hopefully..

One thing I will b*t*h about is Carmack saying they tested this on ATI rigs. Rubbish mate. You tested it 1 single machine in a the corner of your testing lab. At least have a flavour of ATI video cards from their range and test it to cover a few popular cards 4870, 4970, 5870 5970 6970 etc... Just after the money...after all the years the PC supports spent buying your games!

 

You need to uninstall the old CCC before installing the new CCC, or it won't run after reboot

Getting tired of telling people to -FULLY- uninstall old display drivers before installing new ones.....

 

uninstalled previous driver 11.10 preview 2 ,,, :bang: tried to install new got BSOD :bang::bang: now i cant even install 11.9 , installer freezes not responding !! on all ati installs

i did, i even use drive sweeper to clean everything. still not work

 

have done it under safe mode ? then run a little Ccleaner registery scan

 

CatalystCreator: Cat 11.10 V3 - will be released officially tomorrow (we wanted to do some Rage testing) - but I see that it's already out in the wild...
CatalystCreator: BattleField 3 - there will a CAP update later this week to resolve CrossFire issues - use in combination with the either V2 or V3 driver
CatalystCreator: Cat 11.10 V3 preview only includes additional Rage fixes from V2
CatalystCreator: Cat 11.10 official release will happen Oct 31 - but Catalyst 11.10 V3 is pretty much the identical driver, so use with BF3 (plus new CAP)

Same thing here the previous driver. Photoshop CS5 disables the use of the GPU because of OpenGL. Brink (for example), try to start e. .. The driver stopped responding and has recovered.

Anyone else?

 

Hmm...AMD Vision Control Center worked with 11.10 Preview 2 but, not with preview 3 on my system. Crossfire 5870. One step forward, two steps back. I may need to go back to preview 2 when BF3 comes out next week. I sooooo hope PC's get an early release.

Went back to preview 2 and now Vision Control Center doesn't work. No clue what is going on with this.

 

Same here, doesn't happen if Catalyst is enabled...but RAGE won't run. If catalyst is disabled, RAGE runs fine but other openGL apps don't run. I suspect Catalyst AI is the culprit here...:3eyes:
