http://sites.amd.com/US/GAME/Pages/game-home.aspx Spoiler Uploaded with ImageShack.us Was browsing AMD site and noticed this, and thought it was a bit inaccurate Just thought i share for no particular reason :wanker:
Bit of a troll bait thread.. but they must mean the HD 5970>Hd 6990 have been the fastest single cards since the 5970 was released.
This was not my intension, but i see this may upset someone. More efficient however would be correct.
I think the asus mars 580x2 is infact the fastest card to date. price is horrible, just putting it out there. 2 580`s are a tad faster than 2 6970`s.
The game(BF3 Beta) just ran fast on AMD cards, so ..lol AMD is captalizing on it with the "WORLD's FASTEST CARD" or some PR crap. HAHA... When the full version of the game releases, I guess Nvidia will beat AMD in benchmarks..unless BF3 crippled Nvidia cards in performance with intention.
pretty sure its inaccurate altogether since they say 'GPU' instead of 'graphics card'. the 480 was faster than the 5870, and the 580 gpu is faster than the 6970 gpu. but the 5970 was faster than the 480 and 6990 is faster than the 590.

:bang: Apprently the GTX 580m is the worlds fastest mobile card. Oh, and also the 6990M is also the worlds fastest mobile card . http://www.amd.com/us/products/note.../amd-radeon-6990m/Pages/amd-radeon-6990m.aspx http://www.geforce.com/Hardware/NotebookGPUs/geforce-gtx-580m
Honestly, both of them are pulling wool over unsuspecting customers eyes!. Some games run fast on ATI/AMD and some games on Nvidia, they are just making fool of customers. Can't we sue them? for incorrect marketing claims which area not real.
Just for explain, reference model to reference model, yes the 5970 and then 6990 was the faster cards. the 590 was considered under ( not in all case, he he , and again, it's really hard to say who is faster, depend so much the games used) .. 5970 have no opponnent, and 6990 vs 590.. well you know how it have turn.. The Asus Mars, is not an Nvidia card, it's an Asus card. Nvidia have don't do this model and don't even think to do it. If Nvidia have launch it under the term of GTX590 v2 or GTX595, this will have been different. In fact ofc, Mars is another level in term of performance. Then, both company do it sadly... offtly with obscure term.
