well M.G said they will release this promised P-state fix beta driver in early September (at first it was scheduled sometime end august), but idk will they contain BFBC2 fix too or not.. or will they be that leaked 300.xx beta driver after all. So far looks like they fixed; gpu P-state rapid switching issue, Windows logo boot lines artifacts, BFBC2, maybe even include possible Dirt3 fix? Deus Ex 3 apparently.. and some older/newer games compatibility stuff..
When they say they're going to have a September release, that means it'll be between the 25th and 30th September :infinity:
I dont think so, it was something that Sora said over at nv forums.......so take it with a pinch of salt
P-State = Power Performance State The bug in current drivers in the cards have issues when switching between the modes or getting stuck in one mode (2D & 3D). P-State reduces frequency and voltages down (when full power isn't needed) or increases frequency and voltages (when full power is needed). C-State =Processor idle sleep states Similar to the above, but for CPU, and select functions are also disabled.
I saw his replies in a few threads and he said they fixed this boot logo artifact, same with P-state he said they improved it and its kinda like with old drivers, then he kept mentioning BFBC2 fix in whql later in september..idk about this but since they're taking it so long it should be included as well.. And Deus ex needs some optimization too, i guess its on their priority list or maybe its also included in this beta next week? well hopefully..:infinity:
Yes Deus Ex needs some optimization, i have stutterings. Wel, the game is "made" in the sign of ATi cards, see the ATi logo when the game starts, so it's kinda normal that the game runs a little jerky on nvidia cards. And i am very happy that they managed to fix that logo artifact. My thread there wasn't a waste.
