Can't wait for this one tbh. Also, i think its a good thing its coming in 2012, we got so many AAA titles fighting each other from August to December, its pure madness to release another game in 2011.
It's sad they wasted so much time messing around with Borderlands and DNF that they missed the 25th anniversary of Aliens.
Aliens vs. Predator was a load of cack IMO bar some nice DX11 tessellated Alien models so I'm hoping that Aliens: Colonial Marines *will* be the definitive Alien game. Certainly looks good from the screenshots but then AvP did too and look how that turned out...
Actually i think they get it right this time. This should turn out like Left4Dead, but with human col-marines vs Aliens rather than zombies. Its really hard to screw this up imo.
Now you've done it... And Darren they've already released the definitive Aliens game, Aliens vs Predator 2, single player was awesome and so was multi player.
I think they held it back due to a number of things, #1 other projects they felt more important #2 the tragic and sad death of the "Alien" creator Dan O Bannon #3 the fact that apparently Dan O Bannon was working on a 5th Alien movie script, but was unable to finish it before he died in 2009. #4 Ridely Scott is apparently signed on to do the 5th Alien movie installment using the famous Avatar 3D cameras set for release in 2012/2013
Yeah, but it does look half decent already. I don't imagine it will be anything original or ground breaking gameplay wise, so hoping the atmosphere is spot on, as well as the sound and visuals, heavily modified UE3 though.
Trailer looks very tense, i like it. I really hope they'll make it more of a survival title, and not just a stupid run-and-gun corridor shooter.
