Hello, im new here and im currently struggling on making a new pc because my old one can barely play any game.

Well anyways there is a few things to keep in mind:
    Energy (cant waste alot)
Noise (neighboors complain at night when i play on my old rig)
Budget (only have like 550€ to build i can push a bit more if necessary but my wallet will end up in the emergency room)
And most of all it has to be able to play BF3 (and not on medium if thats possible).

So if you forumers could help me make a list of what parts i should buy that would be really awesome.
    Thanks :)

    about 600quid or 1000$usd

    Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 90$

EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB 240$

    CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 650W 100$

    G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1333 32$

    ASUS P8P67 PRO (REV 3.1) LGA 1155 Intel P67 170$

    Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz 220$

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade 120$

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus 28$

You can save a bit money if you keep your harddrives and windows disk(not if you have XP) but this is about as good as it gets.

because i saw the FPS tests on this site for Bad Company 2 and the GTX480 wasnt bad.

No not really, if its not stock cooler than sure, but 480 is too hot and noisy compared to the 560ti, which you could OC to get close to 480 performance.

The GTX 560 is going for under $200 now so I would start there. Go AMD and save a ton if you are on a budget. The AMD's will still run anything out there and with respectable framerates. I have an ASUS Radeon HD6850 and that card is super quiet if you were considering something like that.

imo the best perf./$$$/quality ratio atm is nv 570gtx and AMD6950.

Although 570gtx looks better, something like Gainward Phantom, Msi TFIII is very nice too(great OC'er) but it can get a bit "noisy" when fan hits around 65%, but i never saw it except if i Oc'ed to the max and ran 3dmark2011, otherwise its at around 55% max..its down to personal taste. Well i dont mind it much, i had 250gts before and that was really noisy with default fan compared to TFIII..

You could also get a P8P67-M PRO. It isnt OC friendly (instead of setting actual vcore, you set an offset based on default vcore) but its fully featured (SLi, CFX, etc) and is small.

That is if you prefer something small and cheaper. The P8P67 PRO is a fine board and i'd get it if i had the money.

I dun have any issue :3eyes: And i use it on a way old motherboard for today standards.

No problems with the GTX 560, I still back my own build there. However, if you still feel uneasy, you can easily shave a couple dollars and get the same performance as the GTX 560 with the Radeon HD 6870 which is what I personally have.

This. The HD6870 is a pretty fine card. Really stepping on the GTX560 Ti and for a lower price tag.

Go with the gskill. And you could save a bit of money by getting a P67 board and not Z68/

And grab some aftermarket CPU cooler. Just be sure it won't interfere with those tall G.Skill heatsinks. It would be a waste not to OC that 2500K.
