so can I expect some stable photoshop cs5 opengl acceleration now? or is the driver crashing like a bitch all the time like the old ones?

Apparently 'conformance' is one thing and 'stability' is another for AMD driver team regarding OpenGL.
I'd take AMD's OpenGL support with the ocean's-worth of salt even if it passes several conformance tests.

Not bad drivers. I know its not to big a deal but did anyone else get a decrease in WEI? Mine went from 7.7 desktop and gaming graphics to 6.4.

Did AMD change something? My idle clock are 400/300 they used to be 157/300...

When I open my CCC and go to amd overdrive it report 725/1000 than after few sec gets down to 400/300.

Also, windowed mode morphological AA still does not work, this release and other 11.8 beta before it didn't work either in windowed mode, seems they broke something

CoD BO is all fracked for me now unless I turn off x-fire. I get horizontal lines like I'm watching a old tv set that is out of whack. Any ideas? BC2 performance has never been better.

Yep, the overdrive has changed in these, its unlocked by default (can tell by the missing key icon), buggers my clocks up as well, i idle at 400/1000, instead of 250/150, and my core clock is only 725, instead of 880, it also happened in those 11.7 developer drivers to (as they also had the changed overdrive), the officials will be fine though, as the overdrive will be back to normal in those.

Maybe it's (11.8 WHQL) going to be out by tomorrow; Andrew did say 'next week' on the 9th. *fingers crossed*

Video settings on CCC has no effect on VLC. I'm experiencing this issue since I got HD6850. PowerDVD, MPC and GOM works like a charm so I think its VLC issue.

I think problem is with the VLC not the drivers, looks VLC doesn't fully support DXVA.

I reinstalled Windows and reinstalled this driver to still notice an issue with my mobility 4250. The video settings work and are changeable after installation, but after I restart my computer and open CCC the video settings become greyed out and I cannot change the settings. Anyone know what could be causing my video settings to become greyed out?, Even After a clean installation of Windows. Is it ATI's fault?

Hmmm not sure wth is going on, but after unistalling Avivo and HDMI/Audio driver and restarting windows gave me my video settings back and there no longer greyed out.
