No HDMI Audio.

    Hi. Im currently using the 11.8 preview driver. Im unable to use my HDMI as output for sound from my GFX card. I could use it on 11.6. Worling great. Did not work on 11.7 and 11.8 and when i revert back to 11.6 now aint working either so back to 11.8 no go.

    Any ideas?

    Got it. Enabled the onboard sound card again. Thougth the 5800 series dident use the onboard sound card to pass audio to the card?

    It doesn't. The HD5800 series has an audio processor built onto the graphics card.
