That's good to know, i'll just run in dx9 for now, can't really see any difference anyways between dx11 and dx9 anyways, so not really that big of a deal.

How are these drivers in Witcher 2 compared to 11.7? Faster, slower?

Game runs great @ 2560x1600 on my new U3011 (HD5970, synced).

Only problem is cockpit view on some levels @ dx11, the fps drops to 30. Running @ dx9 solves this. I hope the new patch wil solve this. Because I don't think it is a driver problem.

Fear 3 font and videos corrupted with 11.8.Using 11.4 dlls fix the problem.

The rest i tested seems to be fine.

Just noticed the unwelcome return of the ACEEVENT log and the fact that shutdown still generates a DCOM error message

    Yes, I also noticed it...
It has already been reported on AMD Devs forums in the OpenCL section.
    http://forums.amd.com/devforum/messageview.cfm?catid=390&threadid=153211&enterthread=y

However till now - without an answer.
BTW - seems that this is a GPU driver bug, not a bug in the OpenCL APP.
Confirmed that this is not existing with pre 11.6 drivers.

Hardly notice the improvements on Crysis 2, (5770) also refresh rate completey screwd on crysis2, always runs at 1920x1080 50Hz instead of 60..not even alt enter twice works. soon as i go full screen it reverts to 50hz. Window 1920x1080 is 60hz >_<

nice MLAA Performance boost tho. GTA4 avg fps now with MLAA is 35-40fps in the day, instead of 25-30 :)

Noticing a very large performance increase on my 5870's in crysis 2 on ultra, mainly because I was getting massive framerate drops and stutter before (unplayable fps around any decent amount of tesselation), but now I don't get that at all, expect when I get really close to a highly tessellated object framerate drops to like 25, otherwise it's very high.

Nothing to worry about. Just means the binary is 32bit.

These drivers are great by the way!

Performs pretty well on all DirectX levels, got rid of some fps drops in a few games too on 5870.
To late though, since I have a new toy now.

EDIT: 11.8 seems to have some sort of problem.
After some time of gaming the screen goes black and the system freezes up.
This doesn't happen with 11.7 at all.

This cat also includes 36bit files as well. So if you don't have a 64bit OS this will still work.

Good driverset they work awesome with my 6970M @ 830/1160 i just only made a Crysis 2 Bench run but it went from:

    drivers - min - avg
    11.7 7 29
    11.8 10 31

those numbers are not exactly but we see i got a bit of improvment, can now play Fear 3 too with 11.7 i got some CtD issues which are now away.

    Good work AMD :nerd:

On my ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
COD4 stutters, sometimes feel like the map is shifting around on the screen, and gives me lower FPS with Anti Aliasing turned off. With Anti Aliasing turned on 2X, I have increased performance, Higher FPS, No stuttering, and the game runs smooth. Never had this issue before.

I invite you to read the post made by me under the name of zkleo.

    http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/showthread.php?t=84676&o=a&s=lr

With this request for help to the team intel, posted yesterday, I want to make people understand that and 'extremely important to clean up the registry before installing these drivers.
I'm not saying that is necessarily so for all 'but useful, and' also important to seek help from experienced teams such as Intel or AMD.
Ask for help teams OpenCL Intel (CPU) or AMD (cpu, gpu).

These drivers are great and having MLAA enable is nice now. Very stable so far, keepers.
