As for cheap games..I am sure there will be an end of summer/back to school sale from Steam & D2D. Team Fortress 2 is a great fps & it is free.

Steam is your best bet, but check out some of the MMOs that has gone free to play. Some of them was already listed:
    LOTRO
    Age of Conan
    Champions Online

Lord of the Rings is looking pretty good.
Wow, I never realized that Just cause 2 was soo cheap. I think I'll have to grab that one.
I was trying Jericho out, but the controls are just weird...

    Yes.
STEAM's sales are damn near always great. They do random weekend sales, and sometimes even do mid-week sales.
It's usually a good time to pick up cheap, great games.

    Haha, yeah, funny as hell...

However, I'm not surprised to see them kind of replies...

I strongly believe that many people here on Guru3D use torrent programs for games & movies, only they won't mention it obviously as they will get flamed for it...

It is wrong downloading games and movies free since the developer of the game or producers of the movie gets no money for his effort put into the product...

I could be doing it, you could be doing it, etc...

However, I do know several people who do use torrent programs for games and movies.

I always tell them why not pay for it? You are a working person earning a good salary, support the developer and buy the product...

I find it strange how some people DO have money but don't want to pay for movies/games...

For me I will ONLY buy a product if I know it's good, whether it be from trying the demo, trying it elsewhere, etc...

Otherwise I won't bother at all trying it...

It's "almost wrong", because somebody had to buy it in a shop in the first place before others can download it?

And who is worse, the one who downloads it or the one who buys it and uploads it for everyone?

Both, bigb. Both of them are worst examples.
Games should only be copied to your closest friend as well as for making a backup to yourself, and making copies of a copy should be forbidden.

But with the current copyrights we won't go further anymore! It's like an ape-monkey telling you "The right of ownership belongs to the one who finds it first"... and those words come from Nokia, when they find out about 20.000 patents, claiming it for themselves. Cheers!

Yeah, worst part is the guy who gets the product from wherever and uploads it onto the internet for the world to then freely get hold of.

It is then available from milllions of people from all over the world...

The ONLY thing I get from the net are nocd cracks since I have 30 plus games installed on my hard drive and I don't fancy going through all my dvd's to find one game...
