Not rubbish at all. He is on a dual core, a rather slow one. The 560Ti will not perform anywhere near it potential, and like I said it won't even perform at 460 potential. What I said is in fact very much true. But hey, let him find out. I absolutely guarantee that what will happen is he will buy the 560, then be back here posting his scores then asking why his scores are so much lower then other peoples scores with same card.

    :)

Not too hard to figure it out dude...seriously...Ya ok, a 460 is slower then a 560?

LOL common, even drunk you should be able to figure this one out yes?

Did anyone even read the end part where I suggested upgrading to a quad core?

a 560ti will be way better than a 8600, even though your cpu will bottleneck that card pretty good.

Get a 550Ti for much cheaper. I think a 560 will bottleneck badly unless you upgrade CPU/mobo later.

    My 2 cents

Actually now that I think about it you get more shader cores per dollar with the GTX 460, but less memory... and I suppose a little bit less feature support so it's a tossup between the GTX 550 Ti and GTX 460.

Well I plan on getting an i7, when, I dont know, but I'll get it. Thanks for the advice guys.

Btw, just curious, but what's faster? an Ati Radeon HD 5450 (the MSI R5450 version) or my actual card?

I ask because my sister has that card, and an i5 750, and she gets worse performance than me. (Even on a cpu demanding game like GTA IV).

Edit: I noticed the 560Ti Im going to buy is the EVGA version, is That one superclocked or normal clocked? Also, the card only has DVI ports and an HDMI port, but my Monitor is a VGA. So I'll need an adapter cable right?

Yes an adapter. How old is your monitor? It is either an old school CRT or a first generation LCD because LCD today all come with DVI...

Your gtx 560 should come with a DVI to VGA adapter

edit: I've bought 3 graphics cards in the past year and all came with it though I did not need it. I would imagine it will come with your card as well.

I have one on order. Getting the EVGA model. Upgraded from a GTX460, so looking forward to a nice little boost in Crysis 2 and The Witcher 2.
