Hello, guys i own a palit gtx560ti 1gb card(stock version) and overclock it to 950 mhz when gaming.
I read somewhere that those really high fan speeds during gaming have been fixed with a bios update. If it works can anyone tell how to or (where to find) what to do to update my bios? thnx

those fan speeds are set in the bios according to video card temps. do you have your fan set on automatic or a set fan speed. the only fan adjustment ive seen thorough a bios update is for when your computer first boots up. it fixes the high rpm at boot or at least thats what was fixed for the asus cards.

    Oh just that?
I have configured afterburner with a custom fan profile. I thought that if it was a bios update it would contain some voltage tweaks or stuff to lower the temperature.
    Thnx man

nah, unfortunately thats when you have to mod your own bios for stuff like that

When overclocked, has anyone noticed that Furmark is way too hard on this card in terms of heat? I can run any stressful game or benchmark with the temps at most in the low 80s C. However, Furmark pushes it past 95 C and crashes. Fan speed is set to max, but it doesn't help against Furmark.

simple fix, dont play frymark that much
as long as your apps work at set speeds with no issues and less heat, why bother.

furmark is a good way to turn your video card into a paperweight. run occt with error checking enabled or run heaven benchmark in a loop. either will suffice.

Actually, that was the first time I ran Furmark on this card. I was just curious about how bad it would be. I use many other things.

im not 100% sure, but i think they only fit reference cards. best bet is to email arctic cooling to find out for sure.

Your score is that of an overclocked i5 750 and a GTX 560 Ti.

thats probably the highest your bios will let you set it to. what 560 do you have, reference or non reference?

thats a non reference card. like i said in my other post, its how your bios is set. the only way you can change the voltage is my modding your bios.

    EDIT:

now that i think about it. 1087mv isnt that bad for the clocks you have. even though its maxed out. if your stable, i wouldnt worry about anything else

I just slide to 1012mv for core voltage to run 3dmark vantage all the way to end seems okay and will try some more test with some games.

yes 1.087 default and no more room to increase more than 1087mv, I also wonder what is vid limit for average on 560's ?
