    Hi
first off I want to say that im really appreciative of your work Thank YOU VERY MUCH. I used nvflash to save a copy of my evga gtx 580 . it has the fan unlocker bios so for some reason that scared me. Might have something to do with me being a broke a** =)
I grabbed a bios off oftechpowerup.may not have been the right one. when i try to flash it using
    nvflash --index=1 -5 -6 filename.rom

i get invalid display adaptor index

    im definatley doing something wrong.

Could you please modify this bios .I just would like max voltage and max fan. I really appreciate it.

this is what i get when i load it into nib 6.02 after hitting advance info

    device id 1080
    subvendor id 3842
    subsystem id 1580
    board id 0000

if u wanna flash the new bios onto ur card u need a diff command.

    hope that helps..greetz Beta

THANK YOU. I GOT IT !!!!
Turns out i was including the extension and that was enough for some reason to cause the i/o error.

    i was typing nvflash -5 -6 gtx580evga.rom
    when i should have used

    nvflash.exe -5 -6 gtx580evga.rom

    Beyond appreciation!!

    THANK YOU!!

This software aint private since 2010........... its public now

here is the full version of the fermi bios editor .. i wrote a tiny message to avoid you ****ing up your GPU .. yes even morons understand this :)

    http://www34.zippyshare.com/v/56312377/file.html

i wrote the warning README file read this before you mess up your videocard

Its incluced nibitor and NVflash and i tested it like 100 times with 3 different GTX 480's at 1213V running at 900+ mhz.

Use the fermi bios editor to change the voltages and clock speeds
Nibitor is just included but not needed

for flashing i use Command prompt in windows > nvflash (SPACE) (bios).rom and it asks to press Y than. thats it / For sli it finds the match so dont worry for flashing 2 cards one after another ... after the flash reset your pc and check if you didnt made any mistake like a 8000 core in stead of 800

More volts doesnt always means more stable ! its possible to hit 1Ghz on a GTX 480 but some people wont go even further than 800mhz
    stock

1213 is still a safe value, but keep your GPU COOL!!!

quote from your read this before you f...
!!!!! IN P00 you can change the Shader frequentie and memory frequentie, DO NOT CHANGE THE P03 !!!!!

And yes you need to change the memory speed in P03 level or the P12(nibitor) level in the bios with GTX460 , 465 , 470 , 480 if you don't you will make your gpu crash. Lucky for you Fermi bios editor does it for you.

If you are using NiBiToR you need to do it yourself. P12 Tab5 needs to be the same as P15 tab5.

Yap good u respond. For Nibitor indeed it must be.

The explanation I did in text file is related to fermi bios editor
for nibitor i didnt said anything.

BTW for yo people who got unstable systems after overclock remember how easily your CPU overclock draw 100 watts more, maybe it could be an idea to remove your CPU overclock to maintain max GPU overclocks :)

    Hi all,
I have a Palit GTX460 Sonic 1GB. It seems that in 2D Mode it goes at 50Mhz and sometimes the Aero Performance (and this happens in Ubuntu too) go down.

Is there a way to increase the lowest 2D frequency just a bit? Let's say at 100-150Mhz...

    Thank you

Yes modding your bios or making a profile with NvidiaInspector for the P12 level. That's what I would do first , test it with NvidiaInspector and see if this solves your problem and then you can still mod your bios if you want to.

I know some who put the values of the 3D lower performance in the 2D level in the bios so the clocks always stay in 3D Lower 405/810/324 when in 2D desktop mode , they did it for stability reasons.

Hello all, please forgive my ignorance since I'm a total noob when it comes to overclocking and flashing my video card. I recently got a MSI 560GTX Twin Frozr II/OC card as a gift (not the Ti version). Is it possible to flash the bios and unlock all the 384 shaders? I saw a post from a user in another forum who actually made it half way using a EVGA bios rom. If possible, can someone guide me on how to do it?

    hy,

im pretty shure u CANT unlocki..its laser cut..so theres nothing u could do to unlock these shaders...

but i also could be wrong...but as far as i know, theres no way..

could u please post a link to what u where reading about unlocking?

    maybe that helps..

hmmm. looks interesting, BUT im very very shure u cant unlock em...
He might photoshoped it or so..why would he open the gpu-z screen in winword?

anyway i dont think so..nvidia usualy cut them via laser and so u cant activate anything....

If i where u, i wouldnt try it...The chance that u kill ur card will be bigger then normal..

    just buy a ti version...

or OC it a lot and it will be a good card anyway...

Thanks for your advise Beta. I think I'll stick with it for some time, but now that you mention overclocking, do you have any recomendations?

The link below shows my actual video card which already comes factory overclocked. Is it safe enough to OC it a little bit more? Does overclocking reduce the cards lifetime?

Thank you. I tried with NvidiaInspector and it seems going well with the 405/810/324 frequencies set to P12 State.

However I tried to load my bios into Nibitor and it doesn't allow me to edit anything. Then I tried into Fermi Bios Editor and it does, but only P00 and P03 profiles are editable. To edit P08 and P12 I have to disable "Recommend Linking". Can I do it safely? Then... should I set Voltage Entry #1 to P12 (same as P08) in order to ensure stability? Thank you.

Well..I have just edited my bios, copying all the setting of P8 to P12. Now it works really very well. Surely the power consuption is a little more... but at least, it's always very fast.

    Thank you.
