tnx, yea not to shabby :nerd:

aha ok im still testing it and i had 1.024v at first and looks like its enough, lol im still kinda noob with these volts ^^

edit: i tested with tessmark 0.30 and was able to push it down to 1.012v @ 850mhz (default voltage at stock 770mhz is 0.962v) :)

OC isn't my thing - I'd rather run safe and standard :)

Its your choice but you are loosing a lot.... you can be safe and overclocked... that CPU must do at least + 400MHz without touching the Voltage and your card's must do a little bit more Core too... and the voltage is untouched so you are safe and get better performance... give it a try

It's only in benchmarks the OC would give it a "prettier" look.
For my normal gaming use at 1920x1200 32xCSAA/16xAF or 5760x1200 8xMSAA/16xAF my GFX's are primarily the bottlenecks. I haven't OC'ed in years because in high-res and max AA the CPU brings very little, and the extra heat generated + cooling needed isnt worth it IMO.
    I haven't OC'ed since the good old T-bred days with my XP1800+ 1533@2600Mhz.:nerd:

can some one enlighten me if CPU speed has great impact on the Physics Test and Combined Test ? Mine seem so oddly low !

Yeah, the physics tests are very sensitive to CPU speed, i get 34 for the physics and 29 for the combined tests.

Okay I thought so. These scores are they with your 4.6GHz OC on the 2600K ? :)

    Hmmm...

Anyhow I can also see that since the physics and combinered score count so much in the overall performance score you actually get pretty misleading results :3eyes:

Comparing my results with ToyTen he has a much better performance score with GTX 570 SLi OC'ed and the OC'ed Core i7 CPU - the Physics and Combined tests are much higher than mine, but if you then compare with the graphics scores/ Game 1 to 4 tests he has 13'295 point then I have 17'061 :gape: ... but still his system comes out as the overall better one !.

To me this is very misleading ... and I really don't get it.:3eyes::smack:

It would be much easier for everyone to compare scores if everyone would post their 3DMark link, then everyone could use the webpage's 'Compare' feature.

Wow, I'm glad my system isn't the only one reporting 8 volts on the 12+ rail in HWMonitor.
