Really dig the subtle headbobbing / sway and the minimal HUD design,
but the overdone screen-vignetting looks off.

Other than that, the game already has a spare place on my shelf.

I know that that is a downscaled youtube clip of console footage, whilst the gameplay looks great, we PC gamers better have better graphics than that and not just a silly console port!

The 8min in game footage looks way better from the rage.com website. Youtube is one of the worst places for game footage, especially at 720p from console footage.

i've seen the last trailers and ...wow , now i want that game even more, The Well trailer made me think of quake 4, it resembles with it but its on a larger scale of awesomeness. Saw the AI is pretty smart aswell with taking cover and dodgeing your bullets. And the levels are very well made the fighting scenes are not predictable, you don't really know when mutants or other baddies will start showing up like in other games like Bulletstorm for example. Also the fighting scenes don't get repetitive altough they might get with the race moments of RAGE. but i don't care, this is gonna be a great game.

I'm pretty sure Nvidia's inhouse OpenGL will be better suited for Rage,
    but srsly...

they need to regain a grip on that whole API

my hype for this game is growing again. i think the animation and the model physics are really great. enemies react very natural looking to gun fire.

just got infamous 2 and plan on 4 more games this year atleast. these 4 games are a lock for me

gears of war 3 for 360
    rage for pc
    uncharted 3 for ps3
    battlefield 3 for pc

    You mean more than AMD's?

I agree whole-heartedly as their OpenGL implementation outright sucks IMO from my seven month experience with their drivers. When I had my HD 5870 CFX setup I had to copy older versions of their OpenGL DLLs into the game folder to avoid glitches and black screens. I had no such issues when I switched back to NVIDIA and the GTX 580 not did I have them with the GTX 280 which preceeded the HD 5870 cards.

Also, I understand from the Steam forum that Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, which uses OpenGL, has water glitches on AMD cards that they have still not fixed after all these months (it came out before Christmas). The game runs perfectly fine and with FXAA (forced through NVIDIA Inspector) on my GTX 580.

I remember ATI always getting criticised for the poor state of their OpenGL drivers in reviews year ago and it seems that nothing has changed; likely they haven't bothered because 99% of games these days use DirectX.

    Agreed.

YouTube has terrible compression artifacts in most of their videos. GameTrailers used to be as bad with their macro-blocky 720p video reviews but they've now started using higher-quality and larger sized MP4 files which look tons better IMO.

Yeah, anyone a 720/1080p camera or phone will know how much YouTube destroys image quality.

I thought this was originally down for an October release anyway.

Those laser walls and the prison level remind me of the Quake 2 prison level.

This actually looks a little better than the earlier footage I saw. I wish they hadn't decided on a T release. That won't increase sales. Maybe iD is getting soft.

Oh man looks good but is it me or is the guy in the gameplay footage a complete noob playing on easy settings? Throughout the years if noticed, for AI to shine in games, you need to play at a higher difficulty level.

Stalker it's AI for instance is dumb as hell on low difficulty but on Master they're one of the better ones out there.

Game looks really good, something i could get right into long term and not get bored of quickly, like most stuff nowadays.

Visually its really good, but only if that is 360 footage, and not PC footage with a 360 pad lol.

That Arsenal Trailer is the bomb... man, anticipation is rising!
Also, was it mentioned if there is a day-night cycle?
Since the lighting is all dynamic, but the skyboxes are static.
