Special like special-ed : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kLUdBz2XUc p.s. It's actually entertaining to to menial tasks, for the challenge of finding where stuff is on the screen (which area I see is the real one, and which is a clone/echo). Oh well, I doubt this one is the drivers... [for once, lol]. Hell, my card could have always been bad, and this is it getting worse (rather than developing a new problem). This is an RMA replacement card, btw. The original also shat the bed. Neither have been abused. -scheherazade
Any chance its firmware related? I had a lot of issues with a card until i did a firmware update that fixed the powerplay voltages. Worth a shot.
No idea. I'll wait to see what the vendor says. Would rather RMA it. Two or three sudden reboots so far when it got real bad while I'm doing some 3D stuff. note : memtest runs for 16+ hours with no errors, and I've not had any data corruption in system ram or on my drives, etc. Everything seems 'ok' in the non-video regard. -scheherazade
This fault is likely due to a defective GPU or video RAM chips. When in text mode, does it look fine?. If so, then the odds are that the RAM is the culprit. The system RAM has no effect on this.
