Witcher 2 Images [Broadband only]

Thought i would post up some quality images with frames to boot

2x 6970 @950/1400. Game only uses 1GPU at present untill ATI FIX.

All Settings almost maxed @ 1920x1200
1 Setting Disabled : UberSampling
Even with that setting disabled the game still looks great, well i will show you the images now, wouldnt you agree.

you know, you can cut down the filesize a bit without losing any perceptual quality

what i do with all my screenshots is batch convert the pngs in irfanview into jpg: 97% quality, disable color subsampling

 

Actually the game looks very mediocre for my standards and I don't know why it has such requirements.

 

One of the best (if not best) looking games out there. Absolutely stunning. Hopefully it won't be long before a crossfire fix is out.

Yeah it doesn't look anywhere near a 2011 game to me.
Looks very similar to Call of Juarez : Bound in blood, 2 years back. And still not close to the 2007's Crysis.
Not impressed.

I am. It looks like a two years old game. Some textures are pretty, but the lack of AF is ****ing the IQ.
Note : I'm judging only by these screenshots, I don't have the game for now.

 

Wow! I better get cracking on Witcher first then pickup this once I'm done. Can you carry over your character and stats?

"The whole scene is rendered multiple times to give best possible texture and object details and antialiasing (better than antialias and anisotropy even on highest settings)." The developer says this is intended only for those with both the best possible CPU and GPU available now (X4 980 / i7 980X and 6990 / 590).

Looking at how bad the textures are looking at a few meters of distance and how good crossfire works with the game, this "UberSampling" is just a joke.
Add to that a X4 980 is far slower than i7 980X or 2600K.. BS if you ask me.

We don't have all the same sensibility on the artistic direction the game has taken. You can like it, some won't. But technically speaking only, it's not impressive in any way. Most shadows and textures are blurry, depth of field is overused like a camouflage, most light effects on day time are unrealistically over-bright like in first games that used HDR, LOD is very quickly falling at crap levels, etc.

 

Thx for the screencaps, i might even buy this game looks great among all these console ports !

OP there is no way these are ultra settings with no ubersampling. fps are too high so stop lying.

 

I don´t really understand how people see this game looking bad... For me looks stunning, for an RPG of course.
