1st Witcher 2 review is IN!

Buy it on GoG.com, you get uncensored version and although you pay $60 they refund the difference into credit for your account.

 

I'm used to it. I can still run every new game I throw at it very well at 1920x1080 so doesn't bother me much. I am planning on a new mobo and 4GB of DDR3 ram before end of 2011.

Besides Witcher 2 looks great even on medium so if that's how I have to play it I'm not fussed.

 

Yeah, I read if you change your region on GoG, you can get it off of there.

 

I bought the game from GoG.com over the weekend and paid just $44.99 for it (apparently £26.99).

 

yea already ordered boxed copy of premium edition off game uk, don't mind the wait coz i only just sent off my motherboard for rma (i am really hoping it's my motherboard problem been driving me crazy) so won't be able to touch it for about 2 weeks anyway

 

i wonder if the game is CPU bound, im still using an ol X2 processor lolz

 

Aye but i think its different for Australians, I read it somewhere. I think it has something to do with laws over there thats why they pay $60, but GoG credit the difference into your account. Cant find where I read it. Although I may be wrong now as I cant seem to confirm it.

Managed to get a hold of the patch by swapping region from EN to PL in the registry info for the game, perhaps that will work and allow activation early, was worth a try.

EDIT: Nope, key isn't part of the current database yet, was worth testing though.

very nice indeed, liking the extreme detail of the textures, shows that its not limited to a consolitis textures hehe.

Looks amazing. But just FYI this is with ubersampling on, it basically renders the scene several times which makes it look so crisp and smooth.
So you'll probably gonna need a dual GPU setup or something to play it with ubersampling smoothly
