I think I will stick with v7 or maybe 7.5 when i give it a try and find out whats different. This is to much of a drop in frames. I can see that in motion it might look better but I can't play it at that low fps.

I really like v7 though. Really good. Shame I cant use any AA other than Edge as there is either a bug in game or ATI drivers as discussed earlier in this thread but hey hoo!

Thanks for the work though man. Loving it. :)

I come from 45fps average all the game thru with BetA13's 7 cfg before HIRES .pak
to 25 fpses(still very playable!) with HIRES .pak and Beta13's 8 cfg NOAA. both set to 2xMSAA/4xSGSSAA in Inspector

But how nicer.. lasts screens show it so i don't need to post any.

    Cheers again

Still using the 267.24's with nvidia's sli profile update for all my other games, works smooth, great IQ and nice fps.

But crysis 2 doesn't work correct on 267.24 (or any other driver), and not sure if it's crytek (ingame bug), nvidia driver or something else that's causing it.

With sli disabled all is well, extreme gfx, no flickering, AA & motionblur works fine but ofc low fps.

With sli enabled (even after trying all kind of drivers, nvidia profile adjustments, autoexec, betacfg, hires pak etc..) the game gets good fps, but causes insane flickering (only on water, when dead on whole screen,..), and AA + motionblur do not work at all.

So atm it's choosing between great IQ with low fps, or messed up IQ with good fps -_-'

maybe is it a G80 problem, i don't know really. with those compatibility bits i have no issue (i cant test G80 anymore désolé/echt sorry):
    - anti aliasing compatibility: 0x000012C1
    - SLI compatibility bits (DX10): 0x000240F5
    - SLI compatibility bits: 0x02004205

    many drivers gave satisfaction

I can't see much difference between v7 and the latest (v8?) Maybe a tiny difference but not much or am I just tired lol. Oh well I personally don't think its worth the drop in fps. Will head back to good old v7.

What about you guys? Notice much difference? between 7 & 7.5 and 8?

The v8 config looks great even without the texture mod :)

LOL, I'm using this extreme quality config and playing at 2560x1600 on a single overclocked GTX 480 and I'm still getting 30+ framerates , since using SLi mode causes insane flickering :bang:

Yea, tried the compatibility bits you gave from spaceforce, but still same problem :( Guess I'll have to wait till a new driver or crytek update can fix this issue. Toch bedankt/merci.

Hi BetA13! Thanks for the great config file, it really makes Crysis 2 look like it should.
I just have two little "problem".

    1. Sometimes the shadows appear too close to me.. like "3-4 meter ahead"... very noticeable... (not every shadow) first time I noticed it was a wall decorating "flower", is it possible to tweak the settings to draw all shadows further?

    2. I just tried the 7.5 and 8 version.. in 8 I saw that the light sources get a bigger glow around them.. is it true, or I'm just a different part of the game? :) If it's true than I have to say, it is a good effect, I like it, but a little too much.. it should be reduced a bit.. like 1/2... :)

I also tried the "sound settings" not the ones that came with the v.8 but the one was recommended by Xtreme512, here earlier, and I also did not hear a few sounds, like when people talking to me... so it's maybe not your EAX settings, because I didn't even had that row.

    @all: v8 is better , just get it ;)

@axeil: what your soundcard? because I can hear all the voices but reverb type: 1 is broken. dont use it. use reveb type: 3 ;)

First page of this thread tells you that. ^^

I had to change the FOV's back to default with my running speed to 70 like the old cfgs. Reason why is that I noticed while standing next to a wall that had various things sticking out of it and rounded pipes and a barred up square in the wall that as I turned they stretched a little making them not the shape you would expect in real life. Not good!

Everything above 16bit/44.1Khz is a complete waste...recording quality is more important.
And 24 and 32bit sounds are likely not even supported by the engine..as there is no need.

he might be right but ı dont agree with 16bit/44.1 thing because I use 24bit/96KHz on my X-FI ...
