I agree. Why roll back because you lost 100 points in Heaven benchmark? I didnt realise it was a real game.

After the 265.90Q this is the best driver which has come out for the GTX 260.
265.90Q Stilll beats it imho in a general sense, but for BFBC2 for example these are bloody fast, and for most things actually.

I just went back to 265.90Q because TDU 2 wasn't as smooth with these as they were with the 265.90Q, and the IQ is also a bit worse, but they were STILL a lot better then all other drivers released since a long time.

Finally some improvements after a long time, albeit not enough yet since a beta quadro driver is still beating them...
(don't talk to me about GTX 260 old card bs and don't expect performance increase etc, a driver can contain game rendering fixes (see Dragon's Age 2) which can increase performance enormously).
If only they worked on improving every game in the same way.

man how the hell a hd5870 can do 60fps rock steady in DA2, dx11 with everything max?? did you smoked something? are you running the game @ 1280x1024 or what? my hd5850 OC at 900-1200 was maintaining a 30-40 fps in DA2 demo..

Anyone having issues opening the CP? I have to restart and then open the CP right away or else it will not open. I will see the .exe running the Task Manager. Ending them doesn't help either. I did a clean install on the following:

    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    Intel Core i7-2600k @ 4.8GHZ
    8GB Corsair XMS3-1600 RAM
    Asus P8P67 Pro B3 revision
    2x EVGA GTX 460 FTW SLI @ 905/2075 - o/c'd with EVGA Precision 2.0.2
    Asus Xonar DX
Intel X25-M 80GB SSD as boot drive
2xWD Velociraptors in RAID 0 as data volume

Is anyone using a 3x1 Portrait Surround setup? I find these drivers are not registering bezel-corrected resolutions with Win 7 OS, and therefore unusable.

HORRIBLE.. Im gonna have to go back, first time ever on my 480's.

I may try an install over the top first..

I benchmarked NBA 2K11 (v1.01) with these drivers (1920x1200, 8xAA (level 3), High settings) and the average framerate was in excess of 150 fps. I know this because I had Afterburner running and was getting between 160-190 fps on average with around 70-80% GPU utilisation (it is a console port after all) but the benchmark's FPS counter maxes out at 150!!! If anything that is actually higher than with earlier drivers although there's no figure at the end of the benchmark to verify this outright.

I got gains in many games especially dragon age 2 and I just installed on top of 266.87 (no uninstall, no clean install, no driver sweeper, not even a restart). I only do that if I see abnormal results or issues (which I haven't).

I have seen gains in some games, MW2, and heres the weird one..

    MLB2k11 - 150FPS max SOLID..
    NBA2k11 - 47 FPS...

Unless something is screwey with SLI and that particular game, they use virtually the same engine?

I wouldnt normally care about 1 game inparticular, just happens i have bene playing the crap out of 2k11 recently (my player mode) and now its jittery and looks like its on crack..

    Gonna try with SLI Off..

Yup, something with SLI.. Turned off 1 card and hitting 90FPS on 1 card.. So something in the profile or somethin is muffed up with 2k11 in sli.

More oddity, Nvidia has a profile for NBA 2011 and its set at SINGLE-GPU SLI Rendering.. I cant remove it, so i dunno what its deal is.. Something's borked.

    Great drivers so far.

Got a 20 fps increase on Dirt2 max settings.

Also running VERY smoothly on Crysis 2, Bad Company 2, FIFA 11 and Just Cause 2.

Only downside until now is on TDU2, strange performance and blurry image, will do some more tests, seems to be something with the motion blur in the game, but that wasnt happening with the last driver i used.

I will test some other games too.

Anyway, its for sure an improvement over 266.58 and 266.77. (Last drivers i used before that one).

    Keepers!

Yep, I noticed this as well with regards to TDU2, some of the worst drivers yet for that game although I'm sure it's more down to Eden than Nvidia.
