    Man, I want to beat AC2. I have my save from when I have to kill the 9 generals.

    But I had to replay killing just one like 10 times and never got it, so I quit.

    I think it looks good, don't get me wrong. But when it goes backwards from its precursor - that's just ****ed up (not even DirectX 10, WTF). And when they swore to not be shafting PC gamers and including DirectX 11 (but didn't) - that's evil.

    False advertising went on here. A lot of it.

    Maybe now is a good time to remind everyone of the rules.

    No arguing, no flaming, if you have nothing positive to say then don't say anything at all.

    You know Crysis 1 looks better and is a PC game while Crysis 2 is a console port.

    I agree and it's a pretty obvious console port too, very basic stripped down menu, lack of options, no prone, no lean keys, dx9 only ect.

    I could not agree more.

    The game is good....it is just not as "ADVERTISED" and I don't believe that can even be disputed.

    Maximum port is the best way to describe the game....I am not saying it is bad....but it definitely is what it is.

    Cry Engine 3 supports DX11 (But not DX10 any more.) as the beta showed (And x64 builds plus Sandbox 3.) but the game itself was never confirmed to utilize it though the news about Cytek working with NVIDIA more or less gave a indication it was a very likely addition that would be in the game, seems it'll still come out though but with no real date for the update any longer if I understand the latest news and issues (Locking and deleting of posts or threads.) about it over at the MyCrysis/Crymod forums.

    I'll try to find more info but I am sure the game engine was announced to be DX11 ready but the Crysis 2 game itself was never confirmed for such support.

    They do come together but the Atmosfear sky textures are not activated by default, to do so you need to edit a file.

    Look for a file called dynamic_weathers_graphs in:

    Stalker Call of Pripyat\gamedata\configs\environment

    Open it with notepad

    and trick the numbers so they only use clear, cloudy, rain, thunder, etc. Those "clear complete" contains low rez skys. Set the complete ones to 0

    ex:

    [dynamic_zaton_good]
    clear_complete = 0
    clear = 0.55
    partly = 0
    foggy = 0
    veryfoggy = 0
    cloudy_complete = 0
    cloudy = 0.35
    rain = 0
    thunder_complete = 0
    thunder = 0.1

    I think it was Wanny who figured this out so credit goes to him
