r_drawnearfov doesn't seem to stick. keeps reverting back to r_drawnearfov=55 when releading checkpoints and using binoculars . is there a command i can use to bind "r_drawnearfov=65" to same key that switches weapons (Y on the 360pad)?
awesome. so what would be ideal settings for bloom and HDR? they are preset to 0 in the config. by the way i also get the graphical error only when i set the msaa option. but i sent the config to a friend and he doenst get the error. so im assuming the error is because i use evga sli enhancement tool to enable sli. and my friend doesnt use sli
After a little bit of tweaking, I think I've found a better, more natural, look (based on Extreme settings) Vanilla Extreme Tweaked Extreme: Toned down Bloom, disabled Colograding (gren/yellowish tone isn't pretty^^), enhanced object/char LOD and MSAA changed to reduce texture/alpha shimmering. Tweaked Extreme with custom FOV
Also, try this config, Crysis 2 now tweaked for me with this config http://www.2shared.com/file/x3pBFKKh/system.html edit: sorry, remember you've got to edit the config into your own installation of the game, thanks, hope this helps regards, RagDoll.
Anyone know what the default fov is in the game? And what fov mos other FPS's uses? Also is there a command to show fps? Or is Fraps the way to go?
Just be sure to let me know when y'all figure out how to edit the pak file/ get the game to accept a decrypted and repacked version of said file so I can get me some g_inventoryNoLimits = 1 goodness. The internet told me that it can be unpacked but that the game doesn't play nice when you put it back. It's B.S because I stumbled across PS3 forums by accident and even they have the g_inventoryNoLimits = 1 command working on the torrented PS3 version of the game!! console gamers getting mods before PC gamers.....it makes me sick.
Just place it outside the .pak file like in all other games that use file archives. How do you plan to enable cheats by editing the content files? It's locked in the exe. And if you can't run it directly in the console you can't run the command from a consoleCmd mapped to a key either. There's 3 063 console commands in the game and the exe only allow 46 of them to be run from the console.
Just got this installed as Homefront makes me ill due to FOV and SP cannot be adjusted. I had a debate in another Crysis thread about FOV though I was referring to older proper Horizontal FOV and the fact 85 is the proper calculated setting for a 16:10 1920x1200 monitor up close where as some claimed it was 100-110 which is fish eyed. I went of to Google and it seemed there was much confusion over Crysis2+FOV even though it points to the game was indeed Vertical FOV and should be good to use with the "BFBC2 Fov Calc". Well just did some reading and its bang on 85 as I have always used since going from 4:3 to 16:10 but I opted for 90 as some do as its down to personal preference. QUOTE : " crysuki wrote: cl_fov=60 means 90 degree. 60 degree on 4:3 screen. 75, you mean. 60 vertical FoV = 75 horizontal on 4:3, 85 on 16:10, 91 on 16:9. Which are the ideal FoV's for all three aspect ratios." http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=32950 I just tried it, the default 55 is not too bad but 60 (85Hor) is better and 65 (90Hor) is my choice, going much higher makes it looks fish eyed.
I agree this seems to be same as bfbc2 as iv got mine set to 59 at 1920*1080 and it looks nice anything too higher messes with the view making close things look too far away.
Just wait for new nvidia drivers .I'm sure they are aware of this issue and it will be fixed in the next driver.
