Watsup guys.. Since yesterday im getting BSOD's while playing bfbc2.. i never had this before and i just had my 6th BSOD.. I'm also seeing more of these topics on the BFBC2 forum but nothing gave me an awnser.. -.- my log: BCCode: 124 BCP1: 0000000000000000 BCP2: FFFFFA80074F2030 BCP3: 00000000FA000000 BCP4: 0000000000400405 OS Version: 6_0_6002 Service Pack: 2_0 Product: 768_1 My i7 860 is running fine on 4ghz on 1.36875v and is completely stable in prime. I can run all games fine, even the bad company 2 singleplayer.. It just started BSODing me since yesterday and i could play it fine before.. anyone else getting this??
Get the cmd window open and type in sfc /scannow (press enter) Allow the hardrive to scan for an integrity violations as this can cause a bsod in bc2.
sfc /scannow ehmmm.. if i do that nothing happens exept for a cmd screen flasing for once EDIT: Nevermind, just some admin issues :wanker:
Do you happen to be using an onboard realtec sound card?, i had to disable mine in the bios to stop the MP crashing {thank god the GPU has onboard aswell}. edit. Never mind, your mobo doesn't have it.
Ok guys i just played some black ops and it gave me the very same BSOD after 20mins so its something thats not stable.. I dont know much about the BSOD codes but to which is mine related?
I did not try stock yet.. and its actually running unstable.. i just also got the same BSOD in Black ops.. im gonna check my voltages again
I have that too, at between 30min-60min of playing, i get screen freeze and infinite sound loop, and restart. Tried with everything at stock too, i never get bsods in other game. Also tried reinstalling PB. My BFBC2 = steam.
Hmmm.. thats odd.. i dont use steam and i also tried to update PB manually but it didn't work.. it seems that a lot of BC2 players are getting this error since about 2 weeks ago..
Aha, more BCBF2 players with problems ... I was already blaming the new PSU I just installed. You get only BSoDs or also other crashes ?? What happens here is, I'm playing and suddenly the game goes into slow-motion, then it freezes and I get a sound-loop. Sometimes the PC reboots, sometimes it just hangs and I have to reboot (hard). Sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after an hour (so I don't think it's overheating). Also been getting the "nv4_disp display driver has stopped working .." ... Try running WhoCrashed 3.01 (free home edition) and see what's in your mini-dump files.
I have that too, interesting how there was no driver or game update related, it just started happening. Not the BSOD, but extreme slowdown and a crash or freeze eventually. Some Windows Update messed up, perhaps?
The latest Punkbuster update? http://www.usagaming.net/forum/showthread.php?594-Latest-PB-MSI-Afterburner-AMD...&p=2814
How do you use audio on the GPU for ingame sound (on the PC itself, like your headset) ?? Is that why the new Nvidia drivers also install that HD Audio device driver ? I thought it was for sound over the HDMI connector on the card ...
I changed Load line calibration to Enabled which was on Auto before.. and i didn't had a BSOD just yet..
FAIL! so i just got another BSOD but this time its not the code 124.. 1000007e BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000005 BCP2: FFFFF8000345C20A BCP3: FFFFFA6003FA1958 BCP4: FFFFFA6003FA1330 OS Version: 6_0_6002 Service Pack: 2_0 Product: 768_1 Servergegevens: e770f61e-fe66-4684-b2b1-980e1991ee8c Im reading that this one is sound related but ive got no idea what to do.. :\
If you're using onboard VIA, disable it or try installing default windows driver for it and see if it crashes then.
its actually hard to test for BSOD's because once i can play straight for 3 hours and the other time i get a BSOD in a matter of seconds.. anyway i disabled the VIA app on the background.. haven't got any bsod's since.. but ya never know..
