Well i've decided i won't buy a shaman until i get proper VRM cooling, if there is, i may get two, as i might also swap out my board to accomodate.

anyone signing this is not a commital to buy its just a thread to show thermalright that there is strong interest for new vrm coolers, if there is enough interest these will be made and will be sold :)

You can count me in with the others Dave!
BTW do yo have any idea what your VRM temps are on your 6950, with only the small heatsinks wich follows the Shaman Dave?

yes my vrm temps are *drumroll* HOT!!!! nah theyre not amzingly hot but toasty yeah, Ive got a temp sensor on the heatsink and they go around 29c idle but havent checked load yet sorry, either way WE NEED a vrm solution that really works for these cards so the more we bump this thread the quicker we get names :) Thanks everyone so far :)

+anyone feel free to discuss/speculate/ask about what you would like to see in a new vrm solution this time around.

I signed up just to reply to this thread.
    Feel special guys.

    I WANT A VRM R-6 NOW KTHX.

Edit: might try cutting the back of the stock cooler off, just where the two thin steel bits hold it together. If I leave the blower fan on and put that bit back on my card with my spitfire, that might keep temps down until TR can make me a R-6.

Also I tried butchering my R-5 by cutting off the alu fins on the base that extend up the card over the resistors, but it seems I'll also have to grind back into the solid bit around the heatpipes, which seems risky... Might try that tomorrow. I'll report back with results.

Also if the R-6 cooling fins were oriented the same way as the R-4, that would be very nice.

Im battling to get this sorted guys bear with me :)

they say they are concentrating more on budget coolers at the moment, I personally think its a step in the right direction for them but we ourselfs feel have the right to complete our cooling solution, the shaman is a beast, its a keeper, its by far the nicest looking item in my case but no vrm????!!!!? it makes no sense so its nonsence right?

keep posting guys and state your opinion on having half a cooling solution!

I would buy two but apparently thermalright doesn't want my money. There has been a fair amount of interest on other forums as well.

I'm just surprised that not one person has come up with a bolt on vrm cooler for cayman. It is a pretty popular card.

well the update is there isnt one sorry, they ended up not doing it because they had to much work to do with budjet cpu coolers, I tried really hard guys belive me, if they ever update me with info be sure you guru's will be the first to know.

Ive been using the ram sinks on the vrms not the strip things and they make a hell of a difference, just a tip, again sorry.
