That is most likely illegal. They have restricted his use of a PAID for product, which has NO connection to his online persona.

I'd sue them, at least get the money back for ANY game or dl content in that account.

I will NEVER purchase a Bioware game if that's the way they treat their customers.

BioWare according to Eurogamer (staff interview) claim they "will" learn from the low metacritic scores for DAII.. Looks like they have a lot more sh!t to learn.

btw according to EAs/BioWs EULA when you buy one of their games you don't actually own it, you're more or less renting it, as in.. you can play for as long as they see fit.

I was just buying only the very best of their releases up untill now.
Guess who else won't be buying any EA published games from now on :wanker:

They're claiming 4chan has mass rated down their game on Metacritic.

Only like 500 reviews...what a joke, if 4Chan did it ,there'd be thousands...and there would be DDoS attacks.

 

Hahaha, 4chan didn't do a damn thing, they just can't accept the fact that DAII shouldn't of happened. The only good reviews this game got are the ones they paid for, and theres so many bad reviews out there now that they can't seem to hide that fact, thats where the blame game comes in.

So BioWare makes a half assed game and release a garbage port for the PC, and they actually expect it to get a good rating because of who they are? ...The sheer arrogance of these people!

Another developer has been EA'd. What a shame.

 

This was pretty predictable honestly. Ever since they were acquired by EA, we all knew it would get to this point.

 

Thats part of the problem. Just because they kept Bioware as a brand doesn't mean we can expect the same quality of title they were once known for. EA rules the roost now, and knowing how they milked previous properties to death and back again, there may be more quality problems on the horizon.

If I've paid money for a product I'm going to do whatever the **** I want with it whenever the hell I see fit. Screw their EULA and their underhanded practices. When they treat paying customers like this it's no wonder people are pirating.

 

So if you buy a game you now have no right to dislike it, this is sad because it puts piracy in a good light.

He was unbanned. They called it a "error", despite the fact that he received emails saying he was suspended.

This actually appears to be bigger than we first thought; this is ACTUALLY illegal, and EA is considered in contempt of court...the ramifications of this might be huge.

 

When are you guys going to finally realize that what you say or type online is just as serious as it would be offline. How is this any different then walking into a local Wal-Mart and telling the store manager his store is like the devil? What do you think the manager would do? He would escort your stupid @ss out the door and most likely BAN you for good regardless if you just bought something there!

Lets say I walked into wal-mart and bought a TV, and on my way out of the store I called the manager an (insert obligatory insult here) and he followed me home, took the TV from me and said "HOW DARE YOU!
