I think they expect them so "ships by april" type bs on some boards.
If i dont see a gigabutt board by this week i'm selling all my sb stuff and i'm going to wait till the fall and the new chipset.. f this crap.

I've heard of being loyal Cowie but damn thats serious loyalty there. All SB boards perform the same so find the feature set you want on another brand :D The Asrock extreme 4 and extreme 6 are getting hella good reviews at very reasonable prices.

    That UD7 looks bullet proof.

I'd get it, but like you, I'm really intrested in the new socket and chip set.

Still just to fart arround, my MSI p67 comes tomorrow.

    GL:)

The way I figure it, Z68 motherboards will be out within the next few months anyway. You’ll probably get a better board if you wait for the Z68. Failing that Sandy Bridge-E LGA2011 in Q4,......

If Bulldozer turns out decent there is that too,....

hows that ud7 cowie? looks real good n sturdy. is it worth the extra cash opposed to the asus deluxe? hows the spacing with 2 580`s? forgot about my 295`s I can try quad sli too.

Nah it might be overkill for most... the first two slots are 16x so spacing is not that good.
i got a pcie extender to move the second card over to open up some room between cards when i use sli.
I just want what i want, besides the nf200(which some say slows things down)i really liked the board. led codes, puts as much volts as you want, plus bios are updated every week or so cus giga listens to oc'ers they have test the stuff.
The board did not bat an eye (if it had one that is)it just did what i said to very nicely :)

you can save $100 getting a asus deluxe or pro even the msi g65..just seek out what other things you need on the board.

Directron is a good online retailer. I've ordered tons of stuff from them over the years. Always similarly priced to Newegg, usually cheaper on the shipping, and great customer support. They get two thumbs up from me. They accepted paypal long before the egg did too which was always a plus to me.

Yeah, cowie, I should get that GD65 tomorrow from the egg. Gonna get it

    right away on my phase.

I just put a x58gigabyte board in my office rig yesterday and can't complain

about them at all. I've had at least 5. They keep getting better with the

    power phasing and good bios'

I'll post some work on the MSI this weekend with my 480 ltng and a L042B208

chip:) ...crosses fingers for a good multi....

Here it is! Very happy with the potential.....haven't pushed it yet but the
temps and volts are too good to be true. @4.7 1.32v and load in vantage was 3 degrees c. lol. Needed latest bios but, easiest I've ever loaded:)
