Slow? Stop running around with the sights up and only bring them up when you're gonna shoot someone ;)

Either you downloaded infected version, which I doubt, or it's a false positive.
I also have Avira, but no detection for me.

Doesn't look that interesting in multiplayer anyway. :)

Really enjoying this demo so far.

A quick question though perhaps this is the wrong place. I've switched to a 1080p monitor and over x-mas I had to grab a EAH5770 CuCore (all they had in the shop) as my 4780x2 started over heating (fairly confident I just need to re-paste to fix).
I don't think I'll get max res with the 5770, does anyone here know if it would be worth repairing the x2 quickly in terms of getting higher a resolution / better performance?

As for the demo itself, on 720p maxed out it runs very smooth, looks fantastic and plays very well.

Yeah, shocking card tbh - the hardware is decent but I don't think the drivers ever did the card justice.

Almost every new game played like crap from day one. When I switched to this 5770 cuCore I was shocked at how smooth everything played compared and how rarely I need to upgrade drivers to get a performance boost in newer games. Might just fix up the x2, sell and grab another 5770 to xfire, thanks for the quick reply.

^ tru I loved the card but it did suck with newer games, at least with my current SLI I can force alternate frame rendering on most games and it works fine.

Back on topic: this game just doesn't look right, I need to get my rig back up (moved countries) and see for myself

I was thinking of upgrading my HD4870x2 to a HD6970, because I want a more silent and cooler card. Would you think there'll be a noticeable performance improvement?

From what I have read, yes. Best check with other uses in the ATi section though on if the drivers are running well for them on similar set ups to your own. I don't think it will run more silient though, in my experience ATI stock coolers sound like a plane is about to take off when maxed out. But I don't mind that personally.

Although when extrapolating the results from these Anandtech benchmarks:

    http://www.anandtech.com/show/4061/amds-radeon-hd-6970-radeon-hd-6950/13

    and

    http://www.anandtech.com/show/2977/...tx-470-6-months-late-was-it-worth-the-wait-/9

both cards can be easily compared and the 6970 scores only marginally faster (a few frames per sec) than the 4870X2 in nearly all tests.
It really amazes me that AMD's newest and fastest GPU barely outperforms a 2008 card, even if the latter is a multi-GPU card. Pretty good investment, if you ask me.

that hologram projector is pretty funny, already got some nice kills this way
(although sometimes it bugs out for me and I can't switch back to normal firing mode)

I don't see me playing the MP in the full game for long though. It's the same thing over and over again. I'm more a Battlefield guy where games are much more diverse
