How can you tell those have the new B3 stepping,....?

BTW, Just got this email from what seems like Microcenter:

Which is where I bought my motherboard and CPU. Not sure the email is 100% on the up and up though,...

    BTW I changed the link.

I'm confused, are these the fixed ones as I know in the USA they were pulled from sale from everywhere, where as in the UK all stores continued to sell them and you just do a straight swap when the fixed ones are out.

From what I understood, only NewEgg yanked them. I've seen many stores in the States that just kept sellin' 'em ... same with a lot of Canadian stores.

Yes, B3 stepping is labled on the MSI and I belive the Biostar has a B+. All boards forsale are only B3 stepping (I've called and begged for an older one a few weeks back). So when the ASUS and Gigabyte show up, they will also have B3 stepping.

gigabyte's b3 replacement boards are available in australia already. unusual for australia to get something before the rest of the world so im assuming that maybe newegg have the boards but havent listed them yet.

It may be just that, or they know that their current supply is too low level to satisfy their customers if they released them now.

My concern is with the ASUS replacement program. i still have not received any email since i registered my board to replace my older B2 with B3. Anyone have an idea when they might start the process. I was thinking that they would want existing owners of the B2 motherboards to receive the new ones first before they send them to retailers. :cussing::givebeer:

lol, although i probably dont need to replace my board, im talking with my supplier to see if i can just send in my board and have them send me a replacement at the same time.

i was considering buying a hdd cage for my 5.25 drive bays and running another 4 hard drives. seemed easier than buying a 3tb drive and copying 3 drives worth of data to it. so i may just need all 10 ports after all.

    No, one wouldn't think so.

ASUS has to supply corrected boards to retailers, e-tailers, large OEMs like HP and others. This is a huge volume of product,....

But no, let's make sure cmatt099 gets his board first,.....:)

OK, I filled out the survey via iPad. The questions were fairly basic and one asked how long you would be willing to wait for a replacement board. At the end a link was provided with the following page with a number of ASUS boards listed as being an option:

I received an email immediately, saying that it could take several weeks to get around to me.

I’m faxing my authorization form in today. I simply cannot bring myself to e-mail my CC number to anyone given that e-mail simply isn’t secure enough IMO. If I fax it the information goes point to point. I don’t quite get how ASUS can go the e-mail route as an option. I would have preferred a web page with encryption for such sensitive data entry.
