I made a custom resolution in the nVidia Control Panel of 1680x1049 - so just one pixel less height than the native 1680x1050, and the game now works absolutely fine.

With 1680x1050 with everything on High and no AA, I'd get about 30fps and 50% GPU usage. As soon as I set the custom resolution (which Bulletstorm does let you choose), the screen looks exactly the same and just as sharp as native, but the GPU usage is 90%+ and 60fps solid, even with 4xAA.

The only issue I have with this, is that rather than the game rendering the entire screen area, it displays a 16:9 image letterboxed, so you have black bars at the top and bottom, but otherwise it works great.

Edit: Forgot to say, 265.90 drivers are the ones I'm using, as they're still the best on my setup.

    1080p here,maxed out with 2xAA. Steady 60fps,sometimes 57, but for a microsecond.
If i crank up the AA to 8x then fps dips to 45,althought theres no vsync...and im running a gtx570.
Should have alot of power for this game, and his performance kindly scares me about the future performance of this card.

I dunno about this cuz have not experimented with it a whole lot but he's saying his game runs terrible and the NVidia description of Max Prerendered Frames says "Increasing this value can result in smoother gameplay at lower frame rates."

it's funny we pay a lot for powerful hardware that software due to the bad development barely uses in an efective way...drivers, games...etc games jump like hot cakes and full of errors

Enabling AA even at 2x kills my frame rate. Without AA, I get constant 60fps (with some minor dips here and there) with everything at high except postprocessing effects at medium and screen resolution 1680x1050. If I lower the resolution to 1280x800, the game maintains 60fps even with 8xAA and max postprocessing effects.

I tried selecting a 16:9 resolution but didn't notice any difference in performance.

Everything points to the fact that Bulletstorm is a pretty bad optimized game. :(
Hopefully, they will patch it or nVidia will release new drivers soon.

In case you haven't noticed on other threads or the official Bulletstorm forum, here's the fix (can't link you to the original because I don't remember on which forum I spotted it):

The game doesn't work well with 16:10 resolutions (50% gpu usage).

The trick is to set it to use resolution figures which can be divided by 8.

So, for 22' users, goto Nvidia control panel and define a new custom resolution, and make it 1680x1048. The game will let you select it and it's just as good as native (2 pixels less). However i went from 40fps NoAA full details to 62fps capped 8xAA full details on my GTX560. In-game AA used.

Only tested on 22' monitor with native 1680x1050. 1920x1200 is already wholly divisible by 8, so I don't know if the game works well natively in that res.

    Awesome skillshots though! :)

is anyone else having problems with lighting? in some parts of the game everything gets ugly as hell with low resolution textures , especialy in the darkest interior scenes.

stuttering is also a big problem.

Same problem for me on 1680x1050 low GPU usage 50-60% and 30 -40 fps.
I need to change the resolution to 1600x1024 to fix the GPU usage and the fps.
By the way the game runs on DUAL and QUAD at the same performance.

I'm here to confirm the custom resolution thingy on NVIDIA cards (1680*1048 for example).

Here's a detailed explanation, kudos to Mix84 or whoever found about the bug.
    http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=764944

This doubled my framerates, from 60ish fps constant at highest settings but no AA to 120 fps constant.

    Nice!

And thumbs down to the developers. Ludicrous bug.

The issue was patched a while ago.

Steam copies should have auto updated. For retail, the update is through GFWL.

    Patch notes:
My retail version now works flawlessly at 1680x1050. Pre patch I had to use a custom res of 1680x1048. With the patch I can sustain a solid 60 FPS using 4xSGSSAA.
