Took the plunge and installed the 11.2's, works like a charm!
Much better framerates in the Heaven benchmark and next to no stuttering now too.
No sign of the laggy mouse cursor or 100% GPU error.

Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Devices and Printers -> Mouse -> 'Pointers' tab -> untick 'Enable pointer shadow'

Well, it works for some people. =b

Seems that does the trick yes. Can clearly see the difference with it On and Off.

    Pretty funny....AGP + Windows 7 as Driver ^^

No wonder drivers are so crappy, they still gotta make drivers for stoneage products cuz ppl refuse to upgrade.

well it won't, cause you always uninstal and install new drivers, my advice, don't install windows every time a new driver gets released.

There is a way to make people upgrade, stop offering support for the specific hardware. :d

Had a game crash about 30 min ago cuz the AMD Display Driver stopped responding. Now that barely happens and i had that once in a while with nVidia.

    What could be causing it?

Mostly unstable OC, or other bios settings that effect stability. For example, too tight ram timings and such other settings.

Running great on my 5650 mobility, no idea why but I could swear NFS:HP is looking better than before which makes no sense but something really looks different like some setting wasnt actually working before and now with 11.2 its kicked in.

I thought people disabled that pr. default after installing Windows, since it's rather useless xD
    Nice find thou.

So if we have a CFX setup and want to use CAP then this driver is a big NO?
Looks like I'm stuck with 10.10e which works fine with CAP.

Edit - Whats up with my avatar? :(

Right, must be my CPU OC then since everything else is running stock.

Eh, it wasn't me who found that method; it was just from some of the suggestions from users on this forum.
I can't say exactly who suggested it first, though; mine's not a photographic memory, mind you. =b

In any case, people don't usually disable it by default because it's not exactly annoying or even noticeable to start with (the cursor shadow, that is...not the bug).
The problem is that it requires us to 'jump through hoops' just to fix one little driver problem that's caused by a default setting of an OS; for this, AMD driver testing team gets my defamatoriffic middle fingers.

Forcing AA no longer works on NFS Hot Pursuit. Was just fine on 11.1 (or was it 11.1a)

Is there also a fix for the mouse lag in games? Disabling the shadow does only work on the desktop but when I start a game the lag reappears.
