The title says it all, best overclock ever, at least for me, using setfsb

    motherboard max fsb support:
    1333.3mhz
    ga-eq45m-s2

    default:
    Q6600 2400mhz
    fsb: 1067mhz
    ram timings: 6-6-6-...

    overclock:
    Q6600 3072mhz
    fsb 1365.2mhz
    ram timings: 7-7-7-...

Can I go far over this 1333.3mhz fsb ? I am wondering how far I can go.

    I know with 6-6-6 timings I couldn't even reach 340mhz bus speed. Now I am at 341.3mhz

Got mine @ 3.4 rock solid at 1.325vcore
I probably could go even higher (temp wise), but I can't bother myself with tweaking the memory.. oh well..

Hehe. Had a little fun when I had mine.... Got it up to 4.0GHz 99% stable. Ran it at 3.8 and 1.5 24/7 :]

I cant get over 3.0ghz no matter what I try. But that's still a 25% overclock so i'm ok with that.

I run mine at 3.2ghz. I dont think i've ever spent enough time with 3.3 or 3.4 yet. It gets to be a bit of a power sucker by that point.

i could get mine to 3.4, but it wanted way too much voltage. passed prime overnight but the temps were too high for my liking. i have it at 3.3 now, but i need 1.4 vcore (cpuz reading). its been a rock for 3 years now, and will probably get me through another 1 or 2.

I would love to get to 3.4. I don't think i have a good enough board to get there. I tried upping the voltages to where the mobo is showing them in red. I tried dropping the multiplier to get a higher fsb and i thought that worked then I bsod'. So i kinda gave up. I have everything on stock voltages with no problem at 3.0.

Anything past 1333 x 9 and it doesn't even post. I keep the memory @ 800 even though its "supposed" to be 1066.

If you have any suggestions i'm willing to try them.

Decrease the memory multi... maybe also loosen the timings a bit.. so you know it aint memory related..even more (4 now)

It's been a lill' while since i overclocked anything pre-x58 so i'm a little rusty with your built..

I do remember something called FSB holes that were an issue with some nvidia chipsets. try boosting it a little further than you think ;)

    try something like this:
    CPU: 1.425v
    CPU FSB: 1.4v
    RAM: 2.0v
    SPP: 1.4v
    MCP: Auto
    MCP->SPP: Auto

and report back to meh ;)

I got the runt of the litter, my stupid chip takes 1.4v just to run 3.0GHz stable...

Going to try now , however . I have very limited options to overclock. I dont have a option to unlink memory. i just put in the desired speed.

here is a link that someone else posted of the xfx 750i bios.... http://img46.imageshack.us/i/photo2nx.jpg/

    well i tried 7,8,9 multipliers with 1800,1700,1600,1500 fsb's.

    voltages are.
cpu voltage :1.435 (stock is 1.296 with .14 added)
    memory voltage:2.1 (1.9 stock)
vtt fsb voltage :1.4 (1.2 stock)
    nb voltage : 1.4 (1.24 stock)
sb core power :1.5 (1.5 stock)

these are the only options i have for voltages...

the closest I got to boot was a bsod with 0xc0000428 error.
