AMD Catalyst 11.1a Hotfix (8.82.2) Win7 x86/x64

what is tesselation? should i enable it or disable? what does it do for games?

Anyone with a 4000 series GPU, how are these drivers run compared to 10.12?

EDIT: These drivers seem to have problems with Media Player Classic Home Cinema's DXVA ... mpc-hc is using 22% of CPU on my 720p video while 10.12 used only 9% CPU. Can anyone else confirm?

EDIT 2: With these drivers my GPU's clock speed is stuck at 625 MHz ... huh?

I don't know the guy and not try to defend him but as he said he was not evolved in the drivers development. His job was to monitor forums and review sites and report problems to the development team. A lot of people misunderstood his work. I bet this driver was long in development and not appear over night.

Any way downloading and testing soon.

I think it's Not A problem With ATI Driver, Because i have Checked when we pause the Player Especially When using DXVA , After Resumin Media Player Uses 20-22 CPU Usage , I think it's a Bug With Media Player Classic , I Have Checked with Daum Pot Player No Such Problems........ ANd Use the Latest Build of Media Player Classic... HaVe A NiCe Day....

Apparently it was mainly a bad driver install ... however, it sometimes come back. Probably it's the fact that these are beta drivers. I'll keep that in mind. Will test performance this weekend.

If these were final drivers, then I'd have big problems, but since they aren't I'll be lenient.

Yea Driver is in beta Stage, Try Daum Pot Player , Superb It uses Most FOrmats in DXVA Mode, In All Aspects it's Good.... Well Im Going to Try 11.1a Hotfix, Clean Install or Ontop of 10.12 which one would u recommend....

 

usually clean install might be the best idea.

Sure Mate.... This tray icons some times to load, some times not loading at all, i think My Internet Security Kaspersky Blocking it, when i logoff and load the desktop , it will come immediately.... is it necessary to have ATI Tray Icon .......

 

That's how it reports with an ATI card as your primary and a Nvidia as secondary gpu with the PhysX hack.

They should drop the basic view. It's just useless. Users that leave it in basic mode don't even know what Catalyst is and how to find it. Those are the users that install the CD version of the driver that came with their card.
