Wow, nice setup there! It's threads like these that have me just itching to get my rig built! I'm staring at unopened boxes full of things such as an MSI 570 GTX! It's driving me nuts, dang it I hope Sandy Bridge goes on sale tomorrow.

If anyone out there knows when the crap SB is going up for sale, please, PLEASE just tell us! Even a hint! Less than 5 days? :bang:

On topic, I noticed you have those cards on water. Did you try the cards with the retail cooler first? Or did you just slap the waterblocks on right off the bat? The only reason I ask is among all those unopened boxes is a bunch of watercooling stuff. I was only going to cool the CPU, but seeing as how Sandy Bridge seems to be fairly cool running, I'm thinking maybe I should just throw that EK-580 block on the cpu/mobo/ram order I'm about to place. Does water allow you to push them noticeably farther? I'm guessing you can't really do much with the voltage on the stock cooler, or can you?

At any rate, really nice rig there! I've got my fingers crossed that I've got some nice, low voltage GPU like you guys have!

I tested these cards with stock cooler.
One problem , my case was build to be as silent as possible , noise absorbing carpet , low rpm fans (minimum on airflow) and the use of my watercooling.

So when I tested these with stock cooler in my bad airflow case temps at stock went up to 85°C. (with fan profile I could keep them in the 70tees)
Now at stock max load temp on gpu 1 = 39°C and gpu = 37°C. (in a room of 21°C)

Almost every cadr has got stock BIOS with voltage settings
    3D Performance=0.9505v-1.105V
It seem that every GPU runs between these values , depending on what it needs to be stable.

On of my gpu runs at 0.9505 and the other at 0.975 with stock BIOS

So it seems you got the same low VID card as mine and that seems to be real good overclocking cards.

What are you using to verify the stabilty of your overlclocks Civato ?

I'm almost at the stage to flash my OC permanent but want to make sure they are 100% stable first.
I'm guessing 5 hrs of BC" non-stop aint really verrifying them :)

What about OCCT gpu test ? i'm doing a few runs with this now, but should I set shader complexity on defualt (0) or 8 the highest ??????

Im running 900/1800/2200 @ 1.075v. For tests i ran OC scanner for 2hrs,OCCT gpu test(shader complexity at highest) 2hrs, and i ran 60 crysis loops everything maxed. No driver crashes nor artifacts.

Stress test at highest level , and play games at max settings .
Ones I found a stable clock I just take of 10MHz of the core and be 100% sure before I flash.
I got mine now running at 850/1700/2200MHz @1.025V (this is for 24/7use) and this settings I flashed in to bios.
With this voltage I can run 860MHz but to be 100% sure I took of 10MHz.

The higher clocks is only for when I need them (940MHz)

Ones You think you got a stable clock , play for a week some games and then flash. Don't do it straight away. I'm a little nut on that part.
I just flash my bios for testing , and the first thing I do is flash in lower 2D voltage. I'm running now at 0.875V instead of stock 0.913V , on the 2D desktop mode.

what was your vram used in Heaven mine was 1120 mb @1920x1200[maxed settings] of the 1280mb WTF
-one guy at at XS recorded 1120mb on MASS EFFECT 2 a one year old port. [on 580sli] these cards might be a waste of money unless you only want to bench. if they can't play up coming games at max.settings without running out of vram who cares what clocks they run at.

    With physx enabled I see
    If I enable physx i get P45766.

About 800 - 1000MB , Even in Metro 2033 at max I have some spare memory on the card. I'm not to woried.

    -thanks for the feed back.
-I was just surprise at the high vram.that was used-no reviewers ever report the vram used.
-I only had FONV. loaded after a ssd r0 install so could not test with large games.
-down loading Metro now and ARMA2 , to see what they run at ,
-evga cards - so I could step up to 580's but need a new psu, not a big deal ,but time to do so.
-vram was one of the reasons to move on from 285,s sli.and the 8800gts512 before that.
-btw you have great cards there civato

My final overclocking results are 870 gpu and 1950 memory, voltage at 1.075.
I can run the card at 960mhz without crashing but OCCT shows errors when running GPU test fullscreen with 8 shaders for an hour.

And load temperature max 59 degrees of celcius, thanks to Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus :)

    My GTX 570 overclock

    The Card
    -POV GTX 570
    -0.963v @ stock 3d power mode
    -Accelero Xtreme plus cooler
-Idle 28'c / Load 48'c (load temp is after 1 hour OCCT test with final OC'd settings/voltage )

    My Criteria
-Not set more than .075v over stock (im cautious),therefore limit set @ 1.038v.
-Must pass 1hr OCCT stress test, full screen/complexity 8, 0 errors
-Core must be at least 850mhz, or as near to as poss.
-Not go over 1980 on VRAM, (the gains are pointless and there's reports of permanent artifacts from OC VRAM 2000+ on these cards, )

    The Result
    -860/1720/1980 @ 1.038
    -Temps at load as above
    -ALL criteria met

-1.038mv [3d] is what one of mine is at stock [732] lol, it's history.

Nice , I see you got a real good gpu.
I do 850/1700/2200 @ 1.025V but I don't want to push the VRam to much.
So I picked higher clocks on core and my temps are so low in game (40°C- 44°C) that I pushed them a little more.
    Now these are my settings:
    2D: 0.863V
    3Dlow: 0.90V
    3D Perf. : 1.05V
    885/1770/2050MHz @ 1.05V running 24/7.

    thanks

-I did follow OC.net for the 570 oc thread,
    _860 @ 1.075 I had some issues with some benches .
    -then downloaded metro 2033 [had wiped games when going 2 x 120 g2 raid0]
    maxed out ingame settings [only] @ 1920 x 1200 to play\ test - found game play after a hour to be stable @ 43ish fps.[stock speeds],but maxed my vram at 1275mb ,
-did not feel good about the cards , so I put in both to step up to 580's.picked up a AX 1200w psu.-had I not had to wait for a leaking block to be replaced , I would have been in the 14 day return window for a refund.
-these cards are a lot of money to be crippled by vram .might see 30" monitors get cheap -who knows. so I'll will get the 580's now.
-on the evga forums in the 4xxx section I asked if any of the 470-sli-tri owners had ever maxed out their vram ,had 3 non answer reply's lol
