Hello and happy newyear to all,

Im currently running 2x5870 gpus and crave a new gpu setup. I cant run sli because im locked into an amd 890fx mobo so i was wondering when nvidia will be bringing out a dual gpu card like my old gtx295?

    Anything to talk about?

Or are nvidia tired of internal sli?

    Thanks in advance.

According to rumours Nvidia wants to wait for AMD's dual gpu solution which is expected to arrive sometime in this quarter.

    Oh ok, sounds promising.

What gpus are to be used? 580 or 570?

Will i be able to run 3 screens on the this card or will i need 2 ?

Im trying to avoid having to change my mobo, so one card would be nice for surround vision.

Any links to these roumours ?

click the above link to be enlightened. its a patch/registry hack that allows you to run sli on a crossfire mobo. works on 790fx, 890fx, etc.

SLI enabled successfully on a P35 chipset motherboard? WOW! That's impressive! Have you done any benches to confirm dual GPU scaling is showing up in games versus a single card?

Edit: P5Q was P35 chipset, right? I may be off on that, but I think it's right.

nah its p45 chipset. sli is possible the hack fools your operating system into thinking you have a x58 board. I have 2 295`s here but my psu isnt strong enough to run qual sli 295. again no sli bridge lol
edit think it fools the nvidia drivers into thinking you got an x58m/b

the hack worked for me when i borrowed my mate's gtx580.

but then i decided not to buy myself a second one. bottlenecked a tad bit too much. that and one gtx580 still gets me well over 60fps in the games i play.
