    Hi guys,

This could be a TRIM problem with my C300 SSD drive, but I was wondering if anyone else had the odd stutter with Dirt2 since going to 10.12 ???

Never had it before and cant be arsed to drop back to 10.?

    Anyone ?

P.S. look me up "bboymassuk" in NFS Hot Pursuit, loving it.

Try with vsync on, dirt2 doesn't play well with vsync off on cfx systems.

it's been fine up to 10.12 in crossfire.

I can't use vsync because I'm running eyefinity and 60hz vsync fails (locks at 120hz)

dirt2 scales fine in crossfire and eyefinity, only since using 10.12 have I noticed freezes while playing.

it might be my ssd drive because people are complaining about freezes while trim kicks in?

just checking with da gurus before I start messing around with firmwRe and drivers again.

    having fun with nfshp.

    thanks.

You should try RadeonPro, create a profile for Dirt 2 (dirt2_game.exe) and set display refresh rate to 60 (or 59) on Tweaks tab/Direct3D tweaks section. I don't know if it works with Eyefinity though.

Did you ever try disabling crossfire when running dirt 2? You will most likely see better fps with a single card. You can set everything to ultra and crowd to high and get a really nice boost. There has always been a slight stutter after you finish a race and the next race loads but never in game stutter.

I don't mean to be rude, but please read my first post. I have never had issues with dirt2 in crossfire as it scales at 99% per gpu and always perform on top form.

its just since moving to 10.12(even von dachs) and buying an ssd drive.

like I said, crossfire has never given me anything but joy when it comes to dirt2, so I know it's not that.

    thanks anyway and happy newyear.

    peace.

I read your first post and that msi scaling tool doesn't mean squat in that game. It says it's scaling but many people still get better fps with a single card in that game. But if you think it's working ok good for you.

so gpu-z must be bull**** too??

I have 2x5870 eyefinity6 cards and the scaling is right. tested months ago with 1 card and it ran at 38fps. engaged crossfire and I get 67 fps average.

lie I said, read before you post.

thanks anyway and happynew year buddy.

Geez, what the hell is your problem? Is this the general arrogance of users on this forum?

OP - Can you try diverting back to earlier drivers, say 10.10?

For me installing Intel's drivers found here corrected the issue. If you do this, do so at your own risk. I really have no idea whether it will help your particular system or at the very worst, mess something up.

Before I did this, disabling TRIM via command line seemed to help which should be very safe to do.

But since I installed these Intel drivers (was using the built in MS ones before), my ssds have been working better than ever with TRIM enabled.

I'm staying on 10.12 (Von modded) because its my SSD thats causing the stuttering.

Been up all night reading the forums and its a problem with 0006 firmware for curucial c300 SSD's.

    Thanks anyway.

    Happy newyear.
