    Indeed

I appreciate it, but I know first hand what it's like to lose everything.[/QUOTE]

I assume that means you're a junky who got clean:bang: and now PCs:pc1: are the hobby that takes up most of your time. Now that the GTX500 series is out. You have to admit. That's one hell of a GPU if it can keep up with a 5970. They dropped the heat and the power consumption down to where it's no longer an issue. Add overvolting. That makes one sweet graphics card. And Nvidias drivers don't suck that bad. Worst case scenerio. SLI doesn't work on a game. If X Fire does, then there's no contest, but if it's broken to then It's my experience that a decent Nvidia GPU can usually perform better than a single GPU running on a HD5970. A GTX280 or better anyway. So Nvidia has been looking pretty good lately. Especially since you can't get a decent 5970 at the moment and I paid $720 a piece for mine. If you're stickin with ATI your stuck with a 6900 card if you want balls, which are priced quite nicely. But the drivers suck for em right now and the don't work to their full potential which might negate the reason for even having to upgrade in the first place. But that's how its' been for a long time between Nvidia and ATI. Once company comes out with something awesome. That makes the other guys gear look like crap. And eventually they turn it around. And it never ends. Now, if ATI would just improve their drivers better than their current standards. ATI would be a no brianer. But with all the recent driver issues, why should I have to deal with that?:puke2: Maybe Nvidia doesn't sound like such a bad idea.

10.12 gives a decent performance improvement for 58xx.

But ppl considers it a fail because it gives null performance increase for 6xxx.

Great news for you: You can keep your nut!

The latest CAP is now 5 1/2 weeks old and there is still no CAP for NFS HP, 3DM11 QFX and other latest stuff, which would need CFX support.

    Just marketing blablabla ..

I don't care about a million of points - I just want that a software works as it should. For such an overhyped benchmark with years of development it is a mess, that AMD and Futuremark are still unable to make it judge different HW-configs correctly. Paid my hardearned cash for it and neither the related AMD CAP nor the update from Futuremark are still able to support QFX.

But my post was related to the promised WEEKLY CAP's - where are they?

I experienced a few glitches with the 10.12s, and reverted to 10.10e.

The dev team is probably still busy gossiping about why their CEO is stepping down.

After the latest NV-driver release bringing lots of performance improvements it should be time now for AMD to catch up with driver development if they want to improve (GPU) market shares as it was spoken regarding their CEO switch.

Assuming we're living in an ideal world, yes...but no, we're not.

But what worries me more is that this happened right before Bulldozer's release.
If that chip doesn't kick Sandy Bridge in the 'nads like it's supposed to then Intel'd rest on their laurels again, and that'd mean no meaningful price wars anymore; real itching to get one of those 2600K for a reduced price.

    Anyway, off topic.

The only two things that are HUGE about 10.12 is the hype and the letdown.
There I said it; I'm on topic again, yay. *sigh*
