Crysis not running in 64bit mode either windows vista or 7 plz help.

hi mates!i cant run my crysis in 64bit mode not matter i run on vista 64bit or win 7 64bit i have an enthusiast pc and 32 run flawlessly and i never encounter running in 32bit mode when i start from 64bit mode it say crysis has stopped working and screen goes black i havent installed any patches but my video card drivers r all up2 date.plz guys i hope a bunch of u guys would know about the solution so plz help.i built my rig just 2 run crysis maxed out on 64bit os i can do it on 32 bit but i need to run in 64bit plz plz find me a good solution.:bang:

BTW, 64 bit version in most cases don't improve your fps that much.

Run the 64bit exe.

 

I'll bet you're not launching the right .exe. Go into the bin64 folder and click the 'launch64 tool for SecuROM" .exe (hover your mouse over it to be sure you've got the right one).

 

Op, you running a cracked version by any change?

 

Cracked or not he should be able to run 64bit no problem.

 

Mmmm, I remember I had the same issue.
1st when you right click the exe in the game list you can chose "run in 32bit" or "run in 64bit" (or was it dx9/dx10?).
Then I think I had to set the game in compatibility mode for windows vista.

 

Just installl the latest patch then

It runs worse for me with the 64 bit .exe, don't waste your time on it.

 

well thanx for the help guys i would download patches and do set the compatibility mode to vista sp2 like one of u guys told me to.

Yes it worked but I'm not sure any more if I managed to run the 64bit version or ended up using the 32bit one.
There was also a strange behaviour on HDTV, guess they dropped all support when they decided to go for Warhead.
I was using patch 1.2 + 1.2.1 as said above, on win7 ultimate x64.

I heard this problem is caused by a no-dvd crack and setting compatibility mode to vista sp2 fixes it.

 

Can't remember if it was warhead of crysis but one of the updates broke 64 bit mode ( it is a known bug ) I downloaded a cracked 64bit exe that does work with the game.

Cracks are good for fixes when the developers stop supporting a game.
