yes of course with custom cooling, i doubt a stock fan can cope with that.. well its possible at 860-880mhz ~1070mv(furmark, auto fan ~78C or lower) with something like gigabyte SOC 470gtx or msi twinforzr II or zotac amp!, thats around 35Gpixel/s and 50Gtexel/s, and 580gtx isn't that far off. default 480gtx has 33.6Gpixel/s and 42.5Gtexel/s
So wait hold up they didnt double the tmus like everyone was saying??? so all it is is just a full gf100 at 774 mhz? and slightly faster memory? I was going to cash my 470 in im glad I kept it I think I will be far better off buying a second one for far cheaper an waiting for the 600 series for a more noticeable performance increase and for the games to catchup.
Nothing we've heard would support that claim. More likely, they will be pretty similar but AMD will probably be cheaper (although the 6970 is delayed apparently). I guess we'll have to wait for 28nm parts to see some real performance increases from both camps.
