Is it actually fun, or is the same stuff rehashed again with different models/skins and very little story and map complexity as most single player mods(maps) are with HL2/source?

 

Well I don't play lot of source mods, but I'd say it's pretty good for a mod.

How is fallout NV treating you bro?

Im interested in buying it if its as good/better than FO3 GOTY..

 

If you liked FO3, you will like FO:NV. It plays almost exactly the same, though NV is much harder.
Overall, I'd say the gunplay feels better... it's till stiff, but feels a bit smoother. And the game has a LOT of new guns that are really fun to use.
Voice acting and dialog are also a lot better, makes the characters a lot more personable.

Honestly, I'd say if you like FO3 you should definitely pick this one up.

hawx2 looks the same as in dx10 plus $hit distant mountains textures.. failed game.

 

lol actually it doesn't look the same, although the difference is very subtle and might not be easy to see at first.

the mountain peaks are much more pointy and the general terrain looks slightly rounder.

 

it does not look the same, dx11 uses tessellation for terrain in this game

but overall graphically it's a bit of disappointment.. I tested it on Highest settings (except DX11 tess of course) and got 100fps average in benchmark. in some ways hawx 1 looked better

im talking about those distant low quality mountain textures, in the middle of the screen, that's a big turnoff:3eyes:

this game is from 2010 +with ultra realistic mountains etc, but then they use ultra low quality for distant textures and that right there is one big LOL,.. they could have used depth of field blur or something similar and have much better effect., but no they did what they did.

 

Omfg!, look at that last pic, the crowd behind Jordan....their faces!....its f***g with my mind.

they look ok compared to older games that used 2d crowd
