AMD Catalyst 10.10 This Week

LOL, I see. I thought he was saying he had 10.10 version b. As we've seen at times this year a and b of the same driver. For example 10.3b:

The problem is if you adjust brightness or saturation it all goes red again and I don't like using default.

 

Have you calibrated your monitor and created a profile?

 

It happens to me too.

Lucky me I don't have the need of working with those parameters.

 

Yes my monitor is calibrated and I don't use the profiles.

I always use the saturation setting which is the equivalent of Nvidias digital vibrance, however with these drivers you can not touch any setting in the colour panel from default or it will give you that red colour bug.

zomg you so funny, no wait, your not. I'm so sick of people blaming drivers for every possible scenario or trouble one may find themselves in. Its a joke. I've gone through tens of ATI cards since 1998 and I have well over 15 years enthusiast/technical experience and I have never come across a problem with their cards that wasn't able to be fixed on the users end. In fact, more than half the time, the problem was with the user, and user error, lack of understanding/knowledge or just complete laziness. Once I came in with my expertise, in not just graphics, but the entire system and how the issues can relate with other components, ect, you tend to find that it has nothing to do with the card, but other components. Sure I've heard "But that has nothing to do with the graphics, how did THAT fix my problem!?!?" I just say "Good luck with your education." and leave.

I'm not like this usually but I'm jumping on the hate mongering and blame game bandwagon like everyone else, just on the opposite side.

 

I laughed. Not because I've had driver problems, just because I think it is funny... and I secretly believe that CatMaker isn't that busy!

You must not be a very perceptive person then. Every driver release comes with a list of fixed issues. Claiming no driver issues with over 15 years of experience is pretty laughable.

They are usually realease at the and of the day. I have beta and i wont install it anyway.

 

So the 10.10 WHQL drivers are out tomorrow (Saturday) then... that's fine... gives me more time to play around with them than if they'd been a normal Wednesday release.

I guess that means we can all start asking when the 10.10a Hotfix is coming out as they'll add a new anti-aliasing mode to the drivers called Morphological AA and I think the Narrow and Wide-Tent settings are being removed. I want those more than the 10.10 WHQL even though they apparently come with a new texture filtering option.

 

I don't think 5xxx users will be able to enable that ... but I would be happy to be wrong ...

 

Screw 10.10 that's old news.When will the 10.11's be out?There should be a whole new thread called "10.11's when?" started asap.
