Just picked one of these bad boys up along with the Cooler Master HAF 932. Are there any decent overclocking profiles out there for this card?

Can't help you on this one, just wanted to tell I ordered the exact same card and can't wait till it gets in :D

Though I doubt u need to overclock that card lol, I think it can play all games on stock settings with ease :p

Well, maybe this will help you. First of all, use the 1.60 release of Afterburner. You can't alter the voltage for these cards with 2.0.

    Core voltage: 1.087
    Core: 750
    Shader: 1500
    Memory: 1701
    Fan speed: 68%

    Idle temp: 45C
Load temp (1 hour of Kombustor): 66C

After an hour of Crysis Warhead, the GPU temp maxed out at 58C. A couple hours of GTA IV didn't even get it past 53C.

The performance gains have been massive and I still have plenty of overhead. I like to keep things cool though.

What about fan noise? Is it quiet or jet engine @ 68% fan speed?

Great choice there, I had my eyes on the same GPU myself. :)

I doubt it, even the stock cooler is fairly quiet at that speed.

Actually it's pretty quiet. MSI's cooler is excellent.

If it's anything like their Cyclone cooler...it's nearly silent at 68%.

In my country the Twin Frozr II GTX470 is declared End of Life :S

That's why I ended up buying a Gigabyte GTX470 SOC with its 3 fans. It is really really quiet, can't even hear the fans on 100% above the other noise from my pc. And I don't even need 100% cause my GPU stays 55 degrees celsius while gaming  I can imagine the Twin Frozr II cools just as good so I am wondering why u bought another cooler with it?

Did you mean me? I didn't buy another cooler, I was talking about the Twin Frozr II.

    New stable clocks:

    Core: 780
    Shader: 1560
    Memory: 1701
    Fan speed: 68%

    Idle temp: still 45C

You should not need all that voltage to get those speeds.
My 24/7 settings are 800/1600/1812 on 1.000v. Can go higher but things like Furmark start freaking out, so I don't use them 24/7. And my 470 OCs like crap compared to the average 470, you can expect much more.

I know we have different cards, but at 40% fan speed I idle at 35C.

I'm giving your clocks a try and lowering the voltage to 1.030V. Stock voltage was causing BSODs with minor overclocking, so I'll play it a bit safer.

    Idle temp at 43-44C now.

Hey guys, so i bought one of these twin frozr 470s and have loved it since i got it, about 1 month ago.
About 3 days ago all of my games have started to crash, and i noticed that one of the 2 fans on the card has stopped spinning. Is this something i can fix myself or am i better off RMAing it? .....thanks!

Looks like your settings were highly unstable for me. Could you show screens of benchmarking and GPU-z? I'm not sure how you can use those clocks, even L4D2 would artifact freeze within just a few seconds of gameplay.

I'm back to my stable clocks.

Sure, just remember not all cards are made equal. You may just need that more voltage. Which is fine because I can't get much more then this lol.
I've gone just over 30min before, but I didn't feel like waiting so I just took the SS when the temp flat-lined. Benchmarks I'll do later, don't feel like it now (just woke up)

Cool beans, thanks for the screen.

Yeah you're right about the voltage, mine just might need that extra juice. However, I did try your clocks with 1.087V and it still froze instantly in L4D2, so I'm thinking I just can't max the shader clock on it.

I'm now at 780/1560 and bumped the memory up to 1750. Everything's running great, so I'll just leave it at that.

Maxed out temperature at 77C, pretty good since it's only running at 68%.
