Is there any news of 10.10 ? From last few months ati released drivers in every months. BUT since 10.5 there is no proper drivers !! 10.6/7/8/9 no improvement in fps rather than it dropes !! So,now i am looking forward for 10.10, hope it will solve our problems ..

amieneel, you are right... and wrong :)

It is true that after 10-5 performance regarding FPS has dropped, BUT the catalyst drivers after 10-5 did not have as a target to achieve higher FPS, but better stability/compatibility in more PCs.

Also, you will notice a slight drop in DX9 games performance and a slight increase in DX10/11 games with newer drivers since they are focused in new games rather than the old ones for obvious reasons.

What I would suggest is you to try 10.9a hotfix drivers... they work like a charm in my system (XFX5970BE).

10.9 was only release like 2 weeks ago? Long wait yet dude.

They better fix the Ruse freezing problems so I can finally upgrade.

... 10.8 is the best and most stable for me since 10.3 overall in performance in random games.

10.9 is also better for me than 10.5, but 10.8 are the best so its a keeper
for me till il check the new ones.

id recommend you to reinstall 10.8 with driver sweeper and a proper clean
cause in my brother's PC we got a similar setup only he uses a 5770\i5 750 and
still 10.8 is better than 10.5 - anyway worth a try id say.

    good luck.

elgreco why are you guys using the hotfix? Isn't that only for 4870x2/2850x2 cards?

If you are referring to 10.9a, no it is not just for those cards. It is a full driver release, and has some other small tweaks not mentioned in it's patch notes. It is the most recent Catalyst.

No, it is for all cards and it also fixes (as mentioned in other thread) also other bugs.

Just give it a try... I got better benchmark results in unigine heaven, AvP, 3d mark vantage compared to 10-8 and the most important... the min FPS have increased even-though the average FPS are almost the same.

    Is 25fps playable??
Try TwL's modded driver, should perform good for Metro.

Not sure how much you can gain on a 5770 though.

10.9 WHQL here, AVIVO settings randomly revert to default. Also, I'd really like to see CF support for Amnesia, Lost Planet 2 Bench, Dead Rising 2 and Darksiders. Sorta impatiently waiting for 10.10 also)

hopefully they will fix the issue on the 4870x2 with the 3d clocks being stuck. but until then i have them forced anyways. so it really isnt a big deal to me
