How about disable those from people who have Nvidia gpu as their primary gpu, not for physx ? WhiteLightning would rage so hard. I have no problems with those ads when you start the game, sure it takes extra 20seck, but I'm not that picky. Well, I dont use ad-block either.
60x faster... in Firefox, I load pretty much any page under 1s, usually like 0.18, or 0.29s, which is fat enough for me...60x faster than that? It'll load before I click the page? Sounds annoying. Oh well. I'll stick with FireFox, and it's awesome plugins like Ad-Block, Web of Trust, Script Blockers, various other helpful app's and themes.
use dev channel He's refering to it as beta For me speed its not about load time (all of them will have a difference of less than 0.2 seconds depending on your connection). But about how it feels when you watch the loaded content (and how fast the brwoser opens). And since 99% websites dont use any of the uber-gpu techies, i dont care a lot about benchmarks.
Thank you, Captain Obvious! Ontopic: 60x? In Soviet Russia... oh wait, they don't use HTML 5 there as well :3eyes:
. If it supports hardware acceleration I could see that being 60x faster in displaying animated content.
For me, IE opens faster than any other browser. Firefox takes forever to load...in the time it takes Firefox to load....I could make 2-3 forum posts with IE!!!
For those that actually read the Chromium blog they are talking about increases in 2D Canvas drawing over the GPU compared with normal CPU drawing. When used with the IE fish tank right now with 500 fish you get about 1FPS but with the GPU acceleration enabled you then get 60FPS. This is where the 60x speed is coming from. I have yet to figure out how you turn on the GPU acceleration though lol.
It's not like it matters if its is 60x faster. At some point it'll be so fast that you won't even notice a speed increase. It's already fast as hell, just a 25x increase would probably make it near-instantaneous.
We rage each month already when AMD (ATI) release drivers rofl as for the 60x i somehow doubt that is this 60x faster than IE1 ? lol im using minefield 64x with HTTP pipelining and its very quick
Until they let me download and choose file associations without having to download the file first, then opening it. I'll stick to Firefox. While I can see why it's done, I don't appreciate having to save some of my files first, then goto the location and then open them. The rest of Chrome was fine, but that was a serious issue for me.
