We are still working on this issue. Unfortunately our next beta driver which will be released very soon will not provide any better performance with BF: BC2 as it does not contain any BC2 specific fixes but we hope to have a resolution soon.

    EDIT :

Reading that post , it looks as if the TODAY and YESTERDAY was entered into the post on the 18th August , it's a really old thread now.

    Will wait for more

Yep look at the reply to the post

    ManuelG
You jumped the gun a little fella , the LEAKED driver was a review build which contained the fixes , the 260.52 was not the beta driver. It was the driver that was supposed to be final , the one due on monday!. However the driver was kinda broken and sent back to be fixed , the driver was also not an official beta release!.

as i said earlier seems my gpu fans are spinning faster with these using GPU/z is no help with the last official drivers there is 2 fan speed indicators one indicating 40% the other indicating the actual speed.........under the 260.52 drivers i have only one indicator saying 40%

It may not contain the fixes but it definitely contain newer modules and updated more than any other driver so it will give fixes for most games as processing on newer modules becomes faster.

I can guarantee you that going from 259.47 to 260.52 my BC2 frame rate has risen. From its lowest of 53fps and now with new driver I never seen it go below 70fps and this is with higher settings than before, going from 4xaa, 8xaf going to 8xaa,16xaf. It does still have stutter though but nowhere near as much as some people are saying, no driver has given me any major stutter in this game.

Aha! i knew it! lol i thought it was just me :)
...well almost the same problem anyway...
using any other driver set, my max rpm @ 100% was 5400-5500rpm, but now with this set, my max rpm is now 4800rpm [which is effectivly 92% fan even though its being reported as 100% fan by afterburner:3eyes:]

CPUID Hardware monitor on the other hand actualy reports the fan speed at only being 92% but am unable to change as afterburner, inspector,Xtreme Tuner HD etc all think its at 100% already :3eyes:

definatly something fishy regarding fan speeds etc
hopefuly the 'proper' release wont have these symptoms :)

Tested Ambient Occlusion option set to Quality, big FPS drop in World of Wacraft, setting it to Fast, it would make some shadows to look blocky and also big FPS drop. I dont remember what last driver worked finely, not that it look so different with having it enabled.

yea true, with older 198.xx and below its still the old type AO and imo it looks much better.

I used it in cod4 mp, but now with 25x.xx it looks like $hit.. be it performance or quality mode. And yea on quality it went from 91 to 45avg, so im forced not to use it anymore, which is kinda sad the old one really looked allot better and some what fast at least in cod4 - almost no impact, cod5 was so so but still very playable..

Well while these drivers might give a little more performance, the IQ is just alot more worse.

Just removed them and installed the WHQL they have now, 10x beter.

I hope they not just lower quality to let us think they perform better.
