Hello All Im sitting here Waiting for my XFX 5770 to show up, and I thought I would look threw the forums to see which drivers would run the best for this card. I read that the 10.5 Drivers had Pretty good reviews over the 10.7 and 10.8 so would this be a good start for me. And the only Game im running is Bad Company 2 Thank You
I've used a lot of drivers for BC2 only one that didn't lag was 10.5 anything newer would lag really bad
Thanks amieneel this well be the second attempt on this card the first one was bad. I downloaded the 10.8 on the other card but could not get the ATI CCC to load for some weird reason maybe it was a bad Download who knows.anyway I well Download the 10.5 from here that should be safe
Well I Driver Cleaner and installed the card with the 10.5 and ran Heaven Benchmark and got a 800 score compared to the 9800 that got 905 weird. Oh then I got a Blue Screen Hum, I might have to Reinstall Windows 7 again
are you comparing dx10 with dx10 or dx11 with dx10? dx11 generally has lower framerates due to better image quality.
^That'd be my guess. I assume you can't run the dx11 test from a 9800 card. Remember you're getting all that yummy tessellation goodness now. As for drivers give 10.5a a whirl for a bit then give TwL's 3.95 a try.. the difference is night and day.
I'm using crossfire and the best driver for BFBC2 for my setup is definitely 10.5 using the 10.8a app profiles. It is also a good combination for all the other games I play as well, Dirt2, ME2, Metro 2033, DOW2, Starcraft2 & L4D2.
Youre Right The 9800 is Dx 10 I dont Know why I thought it was Dx11 I was wrong Sorry. I ran the 10.5 In Bad Company 2 Look really Good , Ran Good with a little mouse lag and with a Temp in the low 40 c , So Im Happy with the Card. Thanks
