Anything past 10.5a works like poop with my 5970. Seems from the post here others are having issues with crossfire performance as well.

^ I'm not having any issues with these on my 5970. Doesn't mean that other people aren't, just that I must be lucky?

The only problem i have with this driver is that every time i start windows, the screen scaling in CCC display settings is always lower, so i have to set it back to normal.

after reading all of this, I couldn't tell if these drivers force AA like the 10.7a ones. anyone?

Only driver where you could force AA in SC2 are Catalyst 10.7a hotfix released by ATI. No other driver can force AA.

These gave me horrible fps in BFBC2. Switched back to 10.5's, the 10.5's have been the best for me also to date. Really can't understand how they can make a good driver and then drop the ball with the 10.6's and 10.7's!

This drivers works fine with 3D game, and Youtube video works fine.
The only "little" problem (also with 10.7/10.7a), it's on youtube controls, sometime diseappear (showing instead little black area) when I lanunch an video, an appear when i move mouse cursor over the controls.

Is this any better than 10.6 (slowdowns) or 10.7 (graphic glitches) in Bad Company 2 (HD4850/Windows 7 64-bit)?

doubt it, i have 4890's in crossfire on win7 64bit. now i haven't tried 10.6 but i know that 10.7 is pretty buggy and has slow load times. pretty sure this beta version doesn't have the bc2 fixes from 10.5.

This drivers are not okay for my rig :(.

  14. I've been running these drivers for a while now, they run all my games really well to be honest and im quite happy with them, however i've noticed that overclocking to 900/1150 gives no increase what so ever that I can notice. my gpu score at stock (725/1000) gave me 24600 GPU points in vantage for example, overclocked to 900/1125 the score was still around 24500ish, i think it was actually lower than default score. On older drivers I use the same Afterburner profile to load up my overclock and it's always shown good gains in vantage in particular but with these drivers it's not the case. Also in the game benches (crysis warhead, farcry 2, re5 ) are not showing any increase in fps over default...Older drivers showed more performance once overclocked - However, granted these drivers are performing much faster in most cases in comparison to older builds for me.

this driver does not save my scaling settings

every time I start windows using my plasma TV, it's downscaled, and I have to change the scale settings

Those of you having problems with this set - try newer version of this driver which contains all the features + some missing fixes from 10.6.

I would also like to know about this if anyone has tested it or is able to.

10.7 causes a huge memory leak and eventually a crash, hoping 10.8 fixes this.

I played Borderlands earlier on in the week, using the 10.7a Hotfix drivers, and I encountered two instances where the game just froze for about a 30 seconds to a minute with no warning. After a while it unfroze and I could play it again. It never crashed as such though. Presumably this is the issue ATI referred to in the 10.7 Release Notes?

This driver is for FireGL cards, the workstation cards.

I wouldn't recommend installing it nore trying it, better just use 10.7.
