I look for the best drivers for my Sapphire HD5970 but with everything the opinions(notices) which I read on the forum it is impossible to me to choose Can you help me?
These days it probably depends on the games you play, might wanna edit that in so people can give recommendations. Have you tried 10.7a?
I think 10.5a was the most stable for dual GPU set ups, although one of TWL's custom drivers may be better.
I think TwL 3.50 was based on 10.5a. I have seen people say that recent WHQL releases work well for them.. What games are you interested in playing OutGears?
Using 10.7 with my 5970 at the moment and they don't seem to be to bad. Still some problems with certain games (Just Cause2, Left for Deads) not using the twin gpu set up properly and you get a strange screen tearing effect at times. A few problems with the Mafia demo such as flashing textures, but that should get sorted for the full release. 10.5a are still good, but would avoid 10.6.
I play BFBC2 / Starcraft II / Alien Swarm but i love playing white all filters one (antialiasing, AF,...) Thank you for the answers
10.5A are the best drivers for your card, i got one.But if you play SC2 you have to use 10.7a, framerate are worst and drivers are a bit more hot, but at least the units in sc2 dont make invisibles. Im waiting for 10.8 hope we will get the perfomance of 10.5a again.
Hi, Thank you for your answer! I finally tested driver Twl v3.71 based on drivers 10.5a has first view he have the advantages of 10.5a without bug on starcraft II I again have to test BFBC 2
