I wish my room had better air circulation, because my room temp is always high, despite the fan being on. It's why I can only limit my oc to its current clocks, and idles around 51 degrees celcius.

Funny thing is whenever I bring it to an air-conditioned room (brought it to a few lan parties), the idle temp drops to around 35 degrees celcius. Damn

Man I'd love to get some water cooling and add some voltage to one of these beasts... they really fly after hitting 1gaggleshmertz

    I'm buying a 5850 (again) in a couple weeks

nice coolers. ive got two of them for my 5850s. only problem is, its a bitch of a task to find a motherboard that allows enough spacing for crossfiring them.

Well this one has plenty:D So if i will want to go mad, I'll get one more of them beauties^^

The ony thing that holds me back is the processor:3eyes: Cant seem to push it more... My Intel Q9650 extreme edition was good and would do 3.8 GHz but then would do max 3.2GHz so i decided to give the AMD a go... So I guess I'll get the i7 first then the vid card.

Being fed up of waiting for the gtx 460 I just bought a used 5850 since gtx 460 aren't still available where I live. Recently however I learnt that they will come in stock soon. Depending upon what price they are available locally I would think that I paid an equivalent more or less 46$ over what the gtx 460 would probably retail at.

Now I'm just wondering if I made the right decision. What do you think ?

Imo keep the 5850 tbh, no point for going back to the gtx460.

Hey guys, I'm planning to move from 4850 to 5850, but I'm not sure if my PSU is good enough. I mean 450W should be fine I guess for it and the X3 720 (no OC), but this card needs to connectors? Can you tell me if my PSU is good to go?

Well it will run, also depands on the quality of the PSU and yes it needs 2 conectors. But dont expect much of all-round overclock with a 450W PSU. 600W would do you just fine.

hmm, that sounds like a downgrade, going from the core2quad to a phenomiix4 810. perhaps upgrade to a hexacore instead? saves you from swapping motherboards and will ease your bottleneck. those 1055t go for a bargain already.

@ZiiP - check that the 12V rail on your psu has at least 14A, otherwise it wont be getting enough power to run properly.
